BEST WESTERN Rosslyn Iwo Jima, Arlington

This motel is disgusting. The hotel is older and in horrible condition.Our room was not the room listed on their web site. How unethical! But, in our bed upon arrival, we discovered a used condom in the bed. How disgusting! The manager was so rude and argued with us over this. They claim they have such high standards. But, their swimming pool was cited for health code violations. I will never return to this hotel.

This hotel is truly the "Worst Western Hotel". The rooms had bugs which the management denied any previous complaints regarding bugs. However, many reviews all cited previous incidences with bugs. But, the manager,Bhaveen Patel became defensive and when I attempted to discuss this with him.

This hotel is absolutely dreadful. I had the misfortune of spending two nights at this hotel. I was scheduled for five days. But, after I discovered bugs in the room and the hotel manager disputed this until I presented the bug specimen to him. They then agreed to move me to a another room. This room was worse than the first. It also had bugs and the shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold. The maintenance man was unable to speak English. After these incidents, I canceled the remainder of my stay. The hotel claimed they had a policy that I would still be charged for an additional night which would total three nights. I stated to the hotel that there was not a policy stating that when the reservation was made or on the reservation forms that I had signed upon check in at the hotel.The manager stated they did not have to disclose that. That is a dalse statement which I informed them that this would be disputed with the credit card issuer. They then relented. The manager then stated that these incidents were unfortunate and they had never occured previously. At the time, I believed that the was sincere. But, afer reading the previous reviews on this site and other sites, that is another inconsistency. There is clearly a recurring theme of unethical business practices that Best Western International appears to countenance as the owner of this franchise ,Nayan Patel is also the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Best Western International. I was a frequent guest of Best Western International,but, these incidents compel me to reconsider my brand loyalty to Best Western.

This hotel was deceptive with me in respect to my last visit at their hotel. The hotel room has bugs! The management initially was very cooperative and appeared to be concerned. They stated that this had never occured before. I expressed concerns about the pool's unsanitary conditions. The managers,Rodrigo Canlas stated that the pool was a onetime incident due to issues with the pool service contractor. However, they were evasive in regards to the thoroughly disgusting standards of the hotel room. But, I believed their claims and stated in my review on tripadvisor, that the hotel was a 1 star,but I would be generous and issue a 2 due to the management. However, as a result of recent due diligence, I no longersympathetic to the management's claims. However, when I checked out, I discovered that the hotel had been cited earlier this year for its unsanitary conditions. Also, the photos posted on the web site of the rooms are clearly not what I had . This is another example of the deceptive practices engaged in by thsi management. I have attempted to contact them and they have refused to return my numerous messages.

I have visited this hotel many times over the years for veterans Day festivities. The rate was always fair so I overlooked the fact that this is an older hotel that has not been well maintained. But, this year when I discovered a pubic hair inside the bed sheets, thsi was the final straw. This place is so disgusting and has such a blatant disregard for sanitary standards. This is confirmed by the health department citing the swimming pool for numerous violations of the health code. The pool has not improved as I can see.

This hotel is clearly subpar. I had a seven night reservation confirmed at this hotel for some time. Due to family crises, I was concerned that I would need to leave 3 days in advance. The hotel manager,Bhaveen Patel indicated that there would be a charge of one night for early departure. Mr. Patel began arguing with me and was very rude. I pointed out to Mr. Patel that there was not any disclosure of early departure charges in the reservation . He continued to argue and stated there would be a charge. This is not allowed under the state law. I will dispute these charges with him if they are incurred. I should have listened to the other reviews of the deceptive practices engaged in at this hotel such as charges during a scheduled power outage and stating that it was an accident. I will not make this mistake agaijn.

This hotel was a terrible place to stay. The rooms were dirty, dated and cramped. They had an odor of mildew. The staff was rude. I planned this trip by consulting tripadvisor. The reviews on this site described how clean and spacious the rooms were. Those reviews were clearly manipulated. I should have relied on the recent reviews of this site. My recent experience can confirm those reviews. The pool is disgusting.. I can believe that the pool was cited by the local health department. The restaurant should be too!!The hotel staff was rude and a total disappointment!. I will never return to this hotel again!!

This hotel is disgusting. The first issue is the management at this property can not be taken at face value. They breach agreements on rates. The rooms have had bed bugs, the county has cited this hotel for health code violations at the swimming pool. The maida will throw your personal items in your room away .They also claim not to speak English. The shower and hot water works infrequently. This "establishment " is not a value at any rate

It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent..The rooms are large and have a microwave and refrigerator in them. Desk service can be slow depending on number of people demanding service. They don't appear to have back-up staff to handle that situation. It's a little dated but I don't pick motels based on decor so that wasn't a problem for me. I was there to attend an interment in the Arlington National Cemetery which was only 1.5 miles away. And Reagan National Airport was only 5 miles away. It is not easy to navigate the roads to get to the motel from Hwy 50 but then the DC area is a pain to drive in anyway.

Like: Free parking, good location, clean/updated room included flat screen TV, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave. Dislike: Exterior could use a little facelift but that's the worse thing I can say about it. For the price class, this was well worth the money. Overall, I would recommend it to others without hesitation.
