I won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/10
I expected a romantic weekend. Opening up the door to the room what I saw was shocking! It was a total mess. The bed sheets were all undone and there was candy wrappers all over the room. There was also a stains on the towels and bedsheets. The bathrooms were old and moldy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The Best Kept Secret In Washington!
By Patrice, 3/29/09
This hotel was outstanding! Although this is rated as only 2 stars on some sites, this hotel should have at least a 3-star rating. It is located in a great neighborhood, it offers FREE parking, the rooms are very spacious and equipped with a flat screen TV, a mini fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave too (upon request). There was a spacious closet area and spacious bathroom. They also have some of the most comfortable beds that I ever slept on! I was also impressed with how quiet my room was. I felt like I was the only one in the hotel during my entire stay because it was that quiet when I was in my room. The only downside that I found was the lack of water pressure in the shower and the inability to control the temperature in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was perfect! They have menus and coupons available for many of the nearby restaurants that either deliver to the hotel or are in walking distance.

Great, except for one thing
By Ben W, 11/3/08
The location, room, and price were all great. Only one bad thing: my wife's high heels were stolen by housekeeping. Just be sure to keep everything packed up or out of site. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. We especially liked the jacuzzi tub and free parking.

Great Value
By MarcanthonyC, 6/2/08
I recently stayed at the Savoy Suites Hotel on an extended trip to DC. This hotel is perfect for extended stays. Be sure to ask for the rooms with the kitchens. There is a Whole Foods just down the street so getting groceries is a breeze. They also offer free parking, free internet and free access to the Washington Sports Club making it a great value in DC. The only downfall is that there is no Metro station in this part of town, but the hotel does have a free shuttle that will take you the nearest stop but don't let that stop you!

King Suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/07
This hotel was really great for the price compared to other expensive hotels in the area. The bed was very comfortable (memory foam mattress) and the location is within walking distance to historical Games Town which has a great nightlife and places to get food until 3am. The room had a hot tub that you could fill up and put on the h2o jets. In the morning you could hear church bells ringing but they are kind of faint. This hotel is really practical because it has everything you need. I would recommend the king suite room for your relaxation needs. Another plus was the free wireless internet connection and the shuttle to the metro station.

Comfortable but not so clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
I loved the location, but the suits were not very clean. The food was okay, but okay is simple. Ans an overall project it was not seem to be an extraordinary thing but it was very interesting to stay here. Especially for the customersservice. What a great thing is it? I do not know it for sure, but my overall rating is good..........

Nice for 7 days!
By tni, 7/13/04
During the July 4th Holiday, my family and I spent 7 days at the Savoy as we visited the city of Washington. To start with the goods, the hotel has free parking. You can leave your car and take the hotel shuttle to the nearest Metro stop. The rooms had this colonial look. They were clean. The beds were at the right firmness. The staff was great. They offer room service. The maids came each day to clean the room and provide new towels. I don't know about you but at most hotels when you stay extended stay the maid doesn't come to the end of the week. The community was quiet. You are walking distance from the Georgetown shopping area. The rooms also provide a kitchenette. There is no oven but there's a 2 range stove to cook along with a microave, sink, and mini frig. The hotel also offers laundry service. If you care to do it on your own, they also have washers and dryers you may use. The washing powder is also available for purchase. The Shuttle Bus stops in front of the hotel. Another great feature was the deck. Guest at the suite were able to sit outdoors and enjoy dinner or a nice drink. Don't forget breakfast, my family and I had free coupons to eat breakfast and it was ample. The breakfast served also as a lunch for us. The all american breakfast consist of eggs, potatoes, fruit, toast, and juice. They also served pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, and bowls of fruit. The hotel had some renovation going on but that was not a disturbance in our stay. The only disturbance was a family that booked the place for a family reunion. The staff was friendly and helpful. So I hope you enjoy your stay at Savoy if you can not get a place there then try Carlyle suites their sister hotel. It is just as great!
