I would not stay again!!!
By Miss Astute, 10/30/08
I chose this hotel because of the web site declaring it being renovated in 2006, getting a 5 Sunburst rating, and other amenities (restaurant, internet access, etc). Firstly, it appears not all of the hotel was renovated. My bathroom (absolutely not like the photo on the web) left a lot to be desired (tub faucet desperately needed replacing, had to call them twice to get the sink to drain properly, & overall it was not very clean). The photos on the web do not tell the real story. There was one computer in the lobby (where is the business center?) which was out of service @ 2/3 days of my visit (the site shows 2). The restaurant is not part of the hotel, but an Italian one next door - and, expensive. The gift shop is about the size of a closet - I don't think 2 people can be in there at once. The duvet on the bed was lumpy! I don't care what the cost of a room is, but believe they should be clean. It would be nice if you got what was shown on their web site. In my opinion, absolutely NOT!!

Would stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/08
metro only a block away, close to restaraunts, attractions. Area very safe, felt safe walking at nite and waiting for the metro. Bed was very comfy and room had a desk, small bathroom that was plenty adequate, and tv. For the cost of the room it was fine. No breakfast at hotel but did not find breakfast at most hotels in D.C. Would stay again. Less expensive hotel but worth it.

Great Experience

I loved the convenience to the Metro Link. The traffic in the area was bustling but not excessive. I certainly felt safe in the nieghberhood.

A POOR place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/06
An Overview: I stayed 12 days, in 3 rooms. The place was under my per diem and sorta cheap ($107.00). The service was so poor, I will not be returning. I think the place as a housekeeping issue. How was the service? It was poor at best, but at worst it was horrible. They did fix my phone in 2 days (you could hear but not talk). They did have free internet. They did throw away my shiney new collasping umbrella I left in the trash can to drip dry. 1) The first room had several day old coffee left in the coffee pot that was growing mold. 2) The second room had mold on the shower curtain that smelled so bad that I could not use the bathroom much less the shower. It also contained old clothes from prior hotel guests (socks & underwear). 3) Room number three was better, but on 2 days room service did not show up before 4PM and on 2 other days they did not change the sheets. They just made the bed. Was your room comfortable? See above, but the desk chairs where not comfortable; however the bed worked out just fine. Was the location convenient? The location was the bright spot. Nearby is a CVS, The Metro, Bus stop, Avis car rental and several places to eat (Starbucks). The metro is a block and 1/2 south on Connecticut. There is a Wachovia ATM 1/2 south as well. This made getting cash and around easy. There were several questionable looking folks in the back of the building and parking lot, but I never had any issues with them. I hope this helps you have a great time in DC! (just somewhere else :^)

Workable Location w/ amenities nearby
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/06
Stayed weekend of 4/21. Room was clean; no musty oders here. Bed was comfortable too. Windows can crack open which was nice. Bathroom was small though workable. No breakfast; Coffee and hot water in lobby besides in room. Pay internet (25 cents per min) in lobby only; nothing in room. Can walk to Giant Food Store, wine/cheese specialty shop, CVS drug store, and several small restaurants. 2 blocks to Metro/Blue line. Avis behind building and one of the lower price gas stations 2 blks as well. Was pleased with stay for price and location compared to others.

Connecticut Days INN is a NO GO!
By alisha, 04/01/06
Two stars for the Connecticut Days Inn is an overstatement. My room had a running toilet for three days before it was actually fixed by the Inn. When I asked to move to another room, they provided me with a room where the bathroom tub was partially black. Black...wuz up with that. Later, I spoke with a few other individuals who had similar complaints concerning the cleanliness of the room, the broke ice and coffee machines. The maintenance workers were nice, but the overall experience at the hotel was poor. I do not recommend staying at the Days Inn unless you are desperate.

NASTY!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/06
The location and service were okay, but that hotel was a dump. It was smelly, dirty, moldy (throw in any other negative descriptives you like). Not worth the $109 per night we were getting charged! The person that wrote the four star review must have been a poser who works for Days Inn!
