Charged More
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/07
I made my reservations in March for a June trip. I arrived and was told that my card had already been charged for the amount stated in my confirmation email. I was actually not charged until 2 days after my departure and they proceeded to charge me $50.00 more than what was told to me by the person at the desk the day of my check in. I called to see why the additional charge and the person at the desk started to get rude with me explaining in a tone as though I was a pest to her that I would have to wait a few days to talk to a general manager. I called Days Inns customer service line and was told there was nothing they could do. The rooms are what you are paying for. They are older. My mattress had a large rust colored stain. The shower leaked onto the floor when we checked in. I had to move the large entertainment center to plug in the microwave and fridge. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on around you including the one of many middle schools visiting roaming the walk ways at night.

This Day's Inn is in desperate need of renovation...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/07
The proximity to Washington D.C. was good. This place needs a total overhaul as it is very outdated and needs a ton of work. We had to get help with getting our key card to work in the door. Apparently, one needed to pull on the door first before putting the key card in. Repairs done to the room/hotel are not being done the right way. Repairs are hap hazard and not by a licensed contractor. Holes cut in ceilings are not being sealed the way they should. Obviously, there was a problem with the sink located in the bathroom as they moved it into the closet area and then the faucet wasn't attached right in that when you lifted the handle the whole faucet lifted up from the sink. Overwatering of planters from above our room caused water to accumulate in the parking lot as well as water dripping down on our car. I had a similar experience with another Day's Inn in Baltimore on the same trip. Sorry to say I'll never stay at another Day's Inn.

Stay here if you have no choice.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/05
There was actual green mold in my shower. The rest of the room was clean but extremely outdated. I didn't even warrant an alarm clock for $79 a night. I could tell that the lesser known hotels in the area looked better just from the outside.
