lousy
By jamesb, 5/8/11
If you want to stay in a real dump, this is the place for you. The room smelled bad, and was in bad shape. It was loud and inconvenient. It almost ruined our visit to D.C. don\ not stay here, much better rooms available at other hotels for less money. Choice hotels should be ashamed to have this as one of the hotels in its system

not recommend at all, terrible manager's decision
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/2/11
I don't recommend this hotel at all. I stayed at this hotel with My family on vacation trip. I had a trouble! I think the manager's head is filled with $20 bill. - As a result, my family(2 kids and wife) and I had to stay at lobby(6ft x 10ft, 2 chairs and small bench only) 90min at night when I came back from one-day walk. On the 2nd day, 8:00PM, when I came back to the hotel, the door lock was broken so couldn't opened. I requested Manager to have another room for us until he fix the door. My family were tired out so wanted to lay down to take a rest. However, the manager refused my request and had us wait at lobby. - Actually the manager was not at hotel, I talked to him on the phone.- He called a guy to fix the lock but the guy would take 45 min to arrive, and stil not sure when he can complete or if he can fix. The guy came in at 9:35PM, he opened the door at 9:45PM. He tried to fix it until 10:45PM but couldn't fix it. From 8:00PM-10:45PM, My family were patient. Next day, the hotel changed my room,,,, !? The manager discounted only $20! - not received yet. I think this is terrible decision. I verified those decisions were made by the manager. - He said. I didn't want money, I wanted to take a rest, my family too. I don't think there is "customer service" on the manager. I never heard "Sorry for our inconvenience" from the manager. While I was staying at lobby, several customer came to reception and said they had problem on door lock. Would better to go others if you expect "taking a rest or be relax" for a hotel. In case of accident, the manager makes customer unconfortable to save some $$. There may be too much risk.

Great location
By Traveler, 6/3/10
This was an average QI but the location was wonderful. Very convenient to all points of travel. We stayed here for touring purposes and cost. Because it was less expensive than hotels we were able to use taxis and local public transportation to get to tourist destinations. The draw back was the breakfast area. We were here for three days and were never able to get our 'free breakfast' once. There were only about five tables available and each morning when we went down these tables were filled with long waiting lines. That wouldn't have been much of a problem except that there was only one coffee urn and there was NEVER any coffee! Twice when I told the woman who tended the area that there was no coffee I was treated with unfriendly rudeness Her surliness was the single bad thing about our trip - she was truly a Kitchen Nazi!!

It was worth the price!
By American Citizen, 4/10/09
We booked online and had a flawless check in. We were there for Police week the Hotel is on a main rd but well lighted and safe. The best part during police week was the hotel had a driver available free of charge to drive you where you need to go, he works for tips and is an older friendly gentleman. We are booked agin this year 2009 and look forward to our trip. Its not a dump, but not to expensive either.

Will never Stay there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/5/08
I reserved a non-smoking room which according to the attendant and the sign hagging outside the door was a non-smoking room, however the room was definitely a smoking room. The cleanliness of the room was poor and the location seemed to be in the wrong side of town. we ended up not spending the night due to the sad conditions of the room. We were promised a refund but haven't seen it yet, it's been 3 months.

It was decent.....
By Shell, 9/11/07
It was not too bad for the price. It is within reasonable walking distance from the Metro Station. The room itself was great. It came with a microwave, fridge, internet access and was extremely clean. The area is not the greatest, but it is not close enough to the ghetto for anyone to actually be afraid, of course unless you're from the middle of Idaho. My biggest complaint is that security did not check on us when we complained that three people were knocking on our door at 3am. Apparently they were sent to the wrong room. Overall, I cannot complain too much, and I would probably stay there again, if need be.

Good, clean, okay all around.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/07
This room had a microwave & fridge. Bed fine, pillows fine, had a remote for TV (though another person told me in the lobby that she didn't). Also overheard some guy shouting through the glass partition that "other hotels did not charge extra for a crib". Could be a little on the noisy side. Off of a 2 or 3 lane highway. Ice machine right outside my door & you could hear kids yelling. The machine would cycle so it would sound like a vacuum was going all night. But that was dulled by putting the cool air on. I really don't like that lobby glass partition you have to talk through - what are they, a bank? Is it bullet proof? They may need it though cause the location is tough. You must call a cab if you want to go anywhere (I always went to union station and it cost me different amounts every time). Don't count on any food in the motel or in surrounding area.

I'll be there soon
By T BAH, 5/11/07
I liked the cleanliness of the location and the staff was really helpful. The rooms are big with two beds and their bathroom is well equipped with the minimum for toilette in case if you forgot to bring some. I bet gays you will enjoy your stay in that facility.Don't forget now the price is great. You are doing well congratulations.

do not stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/14/07
This place was filthy and is in one of the worst parts of town. You cannot go out of your room after dark, the walls are paper thin, and there are drug deals & prostitution going on right outside your door.
