Holiday Inn Ex Ste Conv Ctr, Hartford

My family had to go to Hartford for a family funeral. I had booked the HIE online. The visiting hours were at 4 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 3:20, expecting to change our clothes and get to the funeral home. When we arrived we were told our rooms weren't ready yet, as they had been booked solid the night before. I was very upset, as check in is 3PM. My brother explained our situation, and the desk clerk gave us a room next to the desk to change our clothes. He contacted housekeeping, and our rooms were ready shortly after we changed, so we knew we would have our regular rooms when we returned from the visiting hours. The front desk clerk went WAY above and beyond to accommodate us, and we truly appreciate his efforts. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he knows who he is, so THANK YOU again. Also I would like to compliment the housekeeper Phyllis, who is an absolute joy! Her personality really lifted our spirits, as she was polite and personable when dealing with guests. And the breakfast was great, too! Thank everyone who made our very unpleasant trip, a lot more enjoyable than we could have anticipated. Kudoes to you all. I highly reccommend this hotel and won't hesitate to stay there again, when visiting relatives.

First the staff are very polite and willing to help in any way !.. The first Rm I was in the blow dryier didn't work and the outlet must have been bad .I went to the front desk and reported it they checked out the room and asked if Id like to move to another room I had just unpacked for the week and they offered to up grade my rm and help move me ..They went way out of there way ! They set me up in a Mini Suit and help my decorate the room for the special night I had planed .. nice table cloth even hearts on the bed and floor ...Honestly the place was Awsome ..I can't say enough and Sherl asked each day if there was anything needed as well as the owner and his wife !... Have stayed twice when on business in Hartford, Ct and plan to be back. Mid week quiet. Two restaurants walking distance. Great breakfast.

This is a great hotel to stay in; affordable, clean, and extrmely accomodating. There is even a free shuttle that takes you to your desired destination! I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

There was a noisy party above us and we notified the desk.They did call up to the room ,but they told me that there was a bachlerette party going on.I couldn't believe they booked a room knowing there was going to be a party.Most people in hotels are traveling or on a work assignment and would like a little quit not a noisy party
