Wouldn't stay here again for free!
By ErikaL, 7/9/09
This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at! It is located in a terrible part of town. The service was horrible! We found a DIRTY tampon on the floor of our room... next to the bed. I'm not sure that they cleaned the room at all before we got there, other than making the bed. The front desk people thought that was gross (and it is!) but said they couldn't do anything without the manager, who was supposed to be there the next morning. That night, there was live music at the restaurant right outside the room, which was fine, except that drunk people wandered around the hotel. The power to our room got shut off (not by hotel staff) in the middle of the night... twice. We noticed because our dog was barking at whoever was standing outside of our door. The front desk, again, said that there was nothing they could do about it. The manager never stopped by or sent a message (and was never there when we were), so we didn't get the room comped for any of the three nights we were there. We never even got as much as an apology. They seem to just accept that people will be complaining. We tried to switch hotels, but they wouldn't let us cancel the rest of our reservation without charging us for the stay. After we got home and sent a feedback email, they were consistent in ignoring us and we heard no reply. I would not stay here again, even if I could stay for free. It is not worth the cheaper price at all!

Get a Victim's Rights Form before you stay.
By No-Way, 3/10/09
This hotel is a pure rip-off. The lobby had homeless drunks getting in out of the cold. The odor was horrendous. You're likely to either be mugged or propostioned before you get to the door from the parking lot. Can't say anything about the rooms, as we got out of there as quickly as possible. The only reason we stayed at the desk as long as we did was because the desk clerk didn't just refuse to give us a refund on our card for cancelling the reservation, they were extremely rude. Why don't they quite charging people to stay there and turn it into a homeless shelter.

Never stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/08
I don't mind the iffy neighborhood, with street people in sleeping bags around the corner and an adult bookstore a block away. It was the run-around with the "free" internet access. I have a laptop that never has had any problem in latching on to motel/hotel access, but no luck here. Twice the people at the 800 number said the problem was fixed, and finally opined that it might be the room and to try the lobby (where it didn't work either). Then when we checked out we were charged for using the room safe (which we hadn't), and we couldn't get a printed receipt because the printer was out of service and had been for two days, according to the clerk. But I'll have to admit that the motel is only a block from a liquor store with a great selection of wine on sale.

Good Vacation Hotel
By Mark, 9/17/07
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Shuttle to downtown was awesome, saved us on Rental car. Comfortable bed, however hallways had worn and dated look. Internet service was spotty but since its free you cant beat it.

Jail must be nicer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/3/07
Even though I made a reservation 2+ months in advance, we didn't have a room when we showed up. They did put us in a smaller room right above the dumpsters without a properly working A/C unit. The peeling wallpaper added a nice touch. Awesome! Plus, they wouldn't give us a discount from my reservation price, even though the room was smaller! Way overpriced for being a roach coach.

No thanks
Besides the price, the only good aspect was the service, and the free parking. While technically located in Downtown, it is atleast a 1.5 mile/25 minute walk to the sights and sounds of Denver. Also, the street it is on-Colfax- is full of people either just out of jail, or who will be in jail within a week. As for the inside, a decent restaurant, but with shady customers. Pool is worthless. The beds were uncomfortable, and most of the hotel smelled musty. You felt like the hotel hadn't been cleaned or renovated for generations. I do not recomend.

Not the downtown location you want
By Aaron, 7/10/06
We were wanting a hotel to stay at in downtown. We were downtown, but not near the 16th street attractions. The location was very shady. The staff didn't care if we were there or not. The hotel needs renovated. It wasn't dirty, but it felt it. The pool is definitely a joke. The pillows were horrible. I was nearly blocked in at the parking lot. Don't stay there unless it's you only option financially.

Nice place to stay for a quick weekend out!
By Ashley, 9/26/05
For a weekend trip to a ball game the price was reasonable and the location was great. It was easy to find my way around. The service of the room was great. The beds were made and the people were very nice and knowledgable. They helped with any questions needed including directions to any and all places asked.

Great rate, great location
By Wayne B, 6/8/05
In a great location of the Capitol Hill area, this hotel was a great rate, although it does need some renovating.
