Silverwood Hotel & Conf Center, Colorado Springs

VEry clean, friendly staff, high speed Internet, Great breakfast, quiet, secure. Who could ask for more? We look forward to staying here on our way up north from Dallas each year.

I arrived at the hotel on Wednesday August 1, 2007. I had reservations for a room for Wednesday and Thursday. They had no room for me on Wednesday so they put me up in a room at the Quality Inn. The next day I went to the hotel and they did not have a room for me that night again. The Quality Inn was full so I had to get my room myself, which I did at the Comfort Inn. I have never been treated as a second class citizen when I have paid the money and the hotel accepted it, however there are first's for everything. I cannot rate the quality of the rooms because I did not get one. They told me that they would pay for my room at the Quality Inn, however I could only stay there one night. I just stayed a night at this hotel and had a good experience. There were a couple of points which I thought might have been missed from other reviews. 1) The pool is outside, important if your kids like to swim during the half a year in Colorado when it's too cold to be outside comfortably. 2) This isn't a new hotel, while there wasn't anyone thing which was really a problem alot of things are showing their age. (Door locks were troublesome, hot tub is cracking, pool seemed a bit dirty) We're going to move to another hotel tonight which has a inside pool.

I was there on a business trip. Nice facilities. Right off the interstate. clean facilities, room was nice. Very friendly staff.

The rooms were nice and the employees were over-the-top! The hot tub was not working properly and the hotel maintenance staff went out of their way to make it right. The breakfast was wonderful and included in the room rate. I have never stayed in a hotel with such excellent staff.

The new management has emphasized customer service and it shows. The free breakfast bar is excellent and the happy hour in the Bucking Toad is awesome.

Really excellent beds (at least in the renovated rooms). Comfort similar to Westin's Heavenly Bed concept and beds/bedding you'd expect in a high end hotel.

This hotel was recently renovated. Our room had new carpet and new wallpaper. When our air conditioning didn't work, they came the next day and replaced the unit. Morning breakfast (included with stay) was excellent. You placed your order with the chef and it was ready in minutes. Location was great. No highway noise and not in the "bad" neighborhood. Close to many restaurants and right off the interstate. Nightly manager's reception (also included with stay) was also very nice.
