Sucky hotel
By girligirl09, 12/21/09
where do I start. the stuff is very rude (front desk/manager). The sink and the tub would not drain, the A/C was stuck on 72 degrees the whole day and night, too hot in the room. they have 4 people per room policy, which is fine. but they would not even let our guests to come up and get their belongings in order to leave. Later on they had to someone excort us to our room. the ice skating rink is plastic over the pool, and the pool is super small. rip off. the food is ok, but $20 eggs!?!!!!! its a foofoo LA hotel with stuck up airhead people working there. I would not stay there again.

Sleep in your car, but don't go to W
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/08
We went to W hotel's restaurant and spent over $200....they asked us to leave around 11 pm....then we wanted to go to the bar and get another drink, but there was the rudest security guard standing right by the bar asking us to see if we had a reservation....make long story short...we almost got kicked-out of the hotel....do yourself a big favor and avoid this hotel for your own good.... best wishes, local yahoo reviewer!

W Los Angeles - Westwood, Los Angeles, CA
I like the place in Los Angeles because I've never been there. Someday I will go there. First, if I go there, I'll get to be discovered as a movie star, then I'll get to be discovered as a singer. That's what I'll be doing if I go there. Actually, some celeberties were born there. I believe it would be a lot warmer than it is in the northern, northeastern, northwestern and eastern United States.

Avoid the "W" hotel in Westwood LA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
The hotel was being refurbished but they did not inform us before the stay. The pool area was used for a private function for one afternoon so that the hotel guests could not use it. Second day the pool area was used for another promotional party and became extremely crowded and noisy. Very noisy and crowded hotel in the evenings. Staff varied from helpful to surly. Very inconsistent. No baths in refurbished rooms, un-refurbished rooms in need of refurbishment. Parking charge $31 per day.

W Westwood was wonderful!
By J, 03/29/07
The staff at this W were absolutely a pleasure to deal with! They were pleasant and fun to talk with and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. When I entered my room, ambient music was playing on low and the lighting was set beautifully. I really loved the clean lines and cleanliness of the room. The bed was amazing (firmness, sheets, and pillows) Bliss Spa toiletries sat neatly on the counter top and everything was free of dust and in it's place. The latest entertainment and fashion magazines sat on the coffee table and I couldn't have been happier. This is a place that does pay attention to details. When my room service meal was 15 minutes late, they reduced my dinner by 50% and included a complimentary bottle of wine. Cost wise it was a bit high, but definitely worth it.

location was perfect
By travel qa, 12/25/06
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Good location for business travelers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Good location for business travelers...Great restaurants... good location ... in the heart of downtown. But I would recommend this more for business travelers than tourists. Tourists should focus on the coastal hotels.

Hot spot hidden
By Su M, 10/01/05
Location and service was excellent. It is off the beaten path, but close to entertainment and good resturants. It is a good place for family or business. The neighborhood is a residential and upscale at the same time.

Great Service, friendly staff
By Gopal C, 10/01/05
I am in for a business meeting from New York. The hotel made me feel really comfortable. They got me a copy of the WSJ paper the morning, made my jasmine tea and the hotel has a great breakfast bar. The decor and room amenities were awesome.
