Vagabond Inn San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo

I never made it to San Luis. My mom passed away earlier in the week and I was under so much stress that I neglected to call and cancel our rooms. They called me the day of her services and I couldn't even think straight. I tried to explain to them what had happened and why I wasn't going away for the weekend. They ended up charging me for my rooms anyway. I understand the 24 hour window and normally I would have called, but considering the circumstances I would hope they would have understood my position. So sad when all they looked for was a quick buck. I will not stay here or any other Vagabond Hotel.

old and sad- needs repairs. good location but bad service, difficult to safely get in and out of driveway. Don't park at Denny's or you will be towed. O.K. for one or two nights. Starbucks across the street.

it appears the senior innkeeper does not like women. whenever i had to encounter him, he was RUDE, but as soon as my husband entered, he perked up and became very "professional" sounding and with a nicer tone of voice. what's up with that? i plan to visit that area again, but will not return to this motel.
