Very pleasant stay

My wife and I stayed there a couple weeks ago a couple nights, before boarding our cruise ship. The location is great, with our Bay view room we could watch sailboats going by, see the miltary base across the water, and City skyline at night was beautiful. Lots of good pictures. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I forgot a bag on the (free) shuttle from the airport, the lobby called the driver, and he brought it right back. Nice. I have no complaints about the room, other than they were having problems with the direct TV system to watch movies. They sent maintenance up, he fixed it, and then comp'd the movie. Nice. The restaurants were fine - we had breakfast in the Bay tower and ate twice at the marina tower, where they have a nice sports bar to watch the games. We also got massages at the health club, and this was a highlight of the whole stay - GREAT massage, way better than aboard the cruise, and less expensive to boot. I was expecting more .I asked expdeia for high floor if its posible when i get to sheraton they charge me extra , parking ,zero,dirty, dusty. dont belive me go and see. I park 3 days in the dusty aria. its very hard for me to go ther agin. nothing especial. by the way,be very carfull about what you ask from expedia and for your safty call the hotell and conferm your request. me and my frinds we had this isue when we got to sheraton and to corect this isue we spend 45 minute on the phone with expdia.

Not worth it

Location was good and convenience and that's all I can say about this hotel. We stay at the bay tower for 4 nights. The room layout was fine, carpet was somewhat yucky so we have to ware our flip-flop in our room. What bother us most was the toilets flushing, we hear our neighbors flush and that just ruin the moments.
 
 
 
 
 
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL- DONT STAY HERE!!!

Never again. Dirty shower curtain, yellow bath floor, floors smelled moldy, dirty doors and walls....Motel 6 kind of thing! Charge $22.50 a night to self park! Not worth $$$$ paid. STAY AWAY from this Sheraton. We reserved room two months in advance. Was issued room with view of parking lot (!!!). Returned to reception asked for harbor view like my reservation stated, was given pool view but had to pay $40 additional. Blanca at reception was trained well by saying, "we are sold out" or "you asked for the traditional room." (!!!) Also was charged erroneously for misc. items on my check-out invoice. Funny thing too, I was asked at check out how my stay was, I said I was disapointed and it seemed to just roll down the receptionist back, like nothing. No apology, no comp, nothing!!! Again beware, stay away from this place its AWFUL!!
 
 
 
 
 
Never Again

The room was clean and it was a nice hotel. However, I would never stay here again. I usually don't have solid travel plans so this is not the place for me. BEWARE....I had reservations for a week. On Wednesday I gave them three days notice that I would be checking out one day early. They tried charging me over $100 to leave early three times. I've NEVER been charged to check out early if you give more than 24 hours notice. They claim it was on my reservation which I've since checked. It was not. If you talk to anyone from the hotel staff about any problem, make sure you get a name. They will deny you talked to anyone just to give you that extra bit of hassle. In addition, I was there with a group of four. Three of us had charges on our bills in error. That means you have a 75% chance of being overcharged. The management never apologized. For shelling out this much money for a hotel room, there are plenty of other choices in San Diego. Sheraton will be my last.

highly recommended

excellent location within a $10 cab ride of many attractions! [zoo, old town, gaslamp, sea village ,uss midway]..excellent mild weather every day.tremendous variety of restaurants, shopping options , historic sites, art galleries. hotel staff from hskg to front desk were extremely friendly and informative!! Outstanding pool facilities and fitness center. spectacular views of the marina, city skyline, and bay! we thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nite stay and would recommend it to anyone interested in experiencing the ambiance of san diego!!

sheraton in trouble

i do not normaly write comment. BUT ....after being woken up 5 times last night with false fire alarm I had enough. We have paid some extra for CLUB room. GOOD decision. At least you are at the top of the building. And your room is not dirty. BUT air condition unit was broken , not repaired the same day.... portable heater!!!! brought to the room...... . and PLEASE WAIT FOR TOMORROW ( we have february). A bit dissapointed with the bathroom nising the hoook on the door and instead having 3 big holes in the door :-) One would almost smile if it was Greek 3 star B+B... and not 4 star san diego Sheraton. there is more. Just ok

Our room wasn't as clean as expected. You were hit is a strong odor when you walked into the non-smoking room. The carpet didn't seem like it had been vacuumed in weeks. And, my son woke up with bug bites all over his stomach. We expected more from this hotel, especially with the price we paid for the room. We were very disappointed. Luckily, we spent most of our time away from the room and had a great vacation. Expect to pay for parking, even if you plan doing self-parking $20/day. Good luck!

No Guarantees Here!

I reserved a room with a view over the phone and was promised a nice room one month in advance. Upon arrival we were told, "we can't guarantee rooms, but you can have one on the other side, the view of the airport is beautiful". Maybe someone should remind these beautiful minds what the definition of a reservation is! No effort was made to accommodate us, and our trip was ruined. I hope this doesn't happen to others, they are taking advantage of people who don't want to look like schmucks and complain!

Not at all happy with location of the room

We booked Sheraton and we were happy about the deal until we actully got to experience. The room we got was just next to elevetor. We kept hearing the noise all throughout 2 nights we were there. You can hear the upstairs' toilet flush. Also the shower was not working fine and the tub was clogging. We were really shocked seeing all this happening in Sharaton.
