Description

This small, charming inn was totally renovated and renamed in 1998. Two blocks from colorful Venice Beach, Inn at Venice Beach does lack some on site amenities such as restaurant, swimming pool and exercise facility. However, these are all readily available within a block or two. The neighborhood is crawling with bike and in-line skate rental shops, and the biggest swimming pool of all—the Pacific Ocean, is right there.

Incredibly Incompetent
By Eric R, 8/27/11
Staff lost my items left in room, returning only wet clothes to me upon checkout. Extremely rude staff combine with expensive rates make the Inn at VBeach one of the worst deals in the area. Location convenient but noisy and poor views. Look elsewhere for best deals (like the Jolly Roger or other such mainstays of the area.) Avoid!

Great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/30/08
This Inn was a couple blocks from the beach and walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. The Baja Cantina across the street has great food. The shower in the inn had a massaging shower head that took my headache right away.

Excellent Place to stay!
By Diana, 5/18/07
Loved the rooms. And their little cafe area for Morning breakfast was a great change of pace! Definitely looking forward to going back again for Memorial weekend!

A Great Place
By Mark, 9/27/06
My wife, 1 year old son and I just returned from a two week driving holiday of California. The first three days of our trip were spent at this wonderful place located only a couple of blocks from the ocean and Venice beach boardwalk. The Inn at Venice Beach has alot of very, very positive things going for it. Let me list just a few of them in no particular order. Firstly, the staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They really do go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are very service oriented. The location is fantastic. As mentioned, you're only a couple of minutes walk from the ocean and the Venice boardwalk. By car, however, you're just a short drive to Santa Monica Blvd / Wishire Blvd, which quickly take you into west Hollywood and some great areas. Or you're only minutesd away from the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which will take you up the coast to Malibu and beyond. Price is very reasonable for a place that is immaculate, with big, spacious rooms and a great continental (free) breakfast each morning. I'm hard pressed to think of a single complaint about this place. If you're considering a vacation to southern California and are looking for a safe, comfortable and reasonably priced place, stay here. You won't regret it..!

What a great value!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/05
I stay in a lot of chain hotels in my business, many that cost much more in unappealing locales. I was thrilled with my stay at the the Inn at Venice Beach. The atmosphere and decor were recently updated and it was cheerful and modern and fun. The breakfast was a wonderful deal, the staff was excellent but the best part was the location. It was awesome to get up at 6:00 am and walk a block and a half to the beach and the Washington street pier, pick up a coffee at Starbucks and watch the surfers and dolfins. Wonderful places for breakfast or dinner a block away and later in the day we rented bikes and rode down Venice Beach to the Santa Monica pier. Never had to get in our car to do any of it! This is my destination of choice the next time I come to LA. In fact it may be a reason to come to LA. Midwest gal with westcoast roots.

We've Stayed Often
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/05
Location is ideal for either beach or nearby related business activities. Parking on site (for a modest surcharge). Continental breakfast goes far beyond just coffee and rolls---you'd pay at least $10 a person to duplicate outside all that is offered by the hotel in the patio kitchen.

Quaint Little Inn
By A.S., 6/23/05
The Inn at Venice Beach is a nice little hotel. The rooms are comfortable, and the balconies offer some nice views of either the courtyard, or Venice. The staff was very friendly in helping us find a beach to go to, and the hotel was small enough to feel like it was just us and a few other families at the hotel. The food was fine, but it was made better by the nice little courtyard with the breeze blowing through. I would stay back there again, especially for a long weekend, or short trip.

Not worth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/8/04
This was the only bad experience of my vacation in nov, 2004. I stayed in hotels in SF, LAS and Lake Tahoe all three stars and would say were upto standard. But this hotel was below my expectations. Rooms were smelly. No drinking water provided in rooms. Only location was good. Apart from that hotel is average and for the price you have to pay its not worth.

Just the perfect private getaway
By Karyn, 8/29/04
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Venice Beach when I visited Aug 18, 23, 2004. The rooms were clean, the manager and employees always had a smile and a greeting, and were helpful. The inn is small, but that means also intimate and personalized attention to each guest. Armondo the manager was most helpful to me in booking tours and finding our information for me. The continental breakfast included cold and hot cereals, hot chocolate, bages, toast and fruit and fruit juices and milk and was quite acceptable. The pretty courtyard offered a place for eating breakfast or reading the complimentary newspaper that arrives at your door each day. With such a short distance from the ocean, the Inn at Venice Beach RULES! I would most definitely stay there again!
