Manhattan Beach Marriott, Manhattan Beach

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the last two years. I felt safe and secure as a single woman traveling while knowing that I could find my way to shopping, restaurants and recreational destinations at Manhattan Beach from the front desk. There are also grocery stores, banks and drug stores handy to your need within blocks from the hotel, again just ask front desk. I stayed in a suite with a kitchenette and the price was well under $100.00 a day. I saved money on cooking and felt really comfortable to plan out my Los Angeles experience. I'd recommend asking front desk for internet access which is reasonable and comes in handy also, the buffet in the morning does get you started for a big day plus the pool is a nice way to relax.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great area. Walking distance to several great restaurants and shops and just a few minutes drive to the beach. The staff could not have been more accommodating. My husband and I were traveling (July 2005) with our two year old daughter and had opted for a late check-in. We arrived later than we expected (10 pm) yet our room was not ready. This was not a big deal to us, but it was to the hotel! Even though we only had to wait 20 minutes, they gave us two vouchers - one for complimentary room service and another for two complimentary drinks from the bar - and a gift bag of goodies and snacks for our daughter. Our room was beautiful, the beds were amazingly comfortable, the food was fabulous, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Our room had a blackout curtain...so maybe the guy from Vegas got a bad room?? To those of you who found it odd to be charged for parking, this is L.A. You get charged to park just about everywhere! If you are going to be in the Manhattan Beach area anytime soon, stay at the Manhattan Beach Marriott.

The main thing my wife and I enjoyed about this hotel is definitely the location. We were within walking distance of so many different restaurants, shops, 2 movie theatres and even a mall. The beach was not that far away either and the entire area felt like a nice piece of Southern California in one spot. Instead of having to deal with the hussle and bussle of downtown L.A. or even Hollywood, we were near the 105 and 405 freeways, LAX and just an awesome beach community. While wearing sunglasses and sipping on mineral water in a cabana near the pool area that is next to the golf course, we truly enjoyed the service and atmosphere of the palm tree lined Mahattan Beach Marriott hotel.

Hotel Staff was very accomodating and very pleasant. The hotel Restaurant is better than average - try the Nori Ahi, it's excellent. Beautiful site but lobby and carpets show some signs of wear and tear. Pool & Gym facilities excellent, Golf Course attached to hotel is great and not usually very busy. I stayed for 14 days and had to pay daily for parking, which should've been included in the services provided to guests. There were no other parking alternatives, so I was stuck paying $12.00 daily, which added up over the course of 14 days. Interent access also was charged daily @ $9.95, and in this day and age certainly should've been provided as a service to guests. Especially since Interent Access is not charged to the facility by user.

Great hotel in good location with easy access. Would definitely stay again.
