19 reviews for Laguna Hills Lodge, Laguna Hills
Did not even book a room.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
This establishment was recommended to me be a coworker, but I was wary of booking a room after reading an unfavorable review. I thought I would call and ask if they were aware of that review and I hoped that conversation would put my mind at ease. My experience was the exact opposite. I called and asked for a manager, who I assumed would be more likely to be aware of the review. The desk person that I spoke with said a manager was unavailable and insisted on trying to help me make a reservation. When I said I didn't want to make a reservation yet, but wanted to talk with a manager. He said goodbye and hung up on me. When I called back and asked for his name, he would not give me his name and asked why I wanted it. When I insisted I wanted to know whom I was dealing with, he finally said "Martin". Considering how reluctantly he gave it up, I doubt that is even his name, but if anyone at the Lodge cares to investigate who is provide such appalling service to potential customers, my call was at 10:20 on Tuesday, July 31st. The correct course of action would have been, at the outset, to tell me when a manager would be available and I would have called back then.

delightful place to stay
By Jan R, 05/18/07
I have stayed at Laguna Hills Lodge two different occasions. They were accomodating. The gardens are beautiful. It is not new but the rooms are clean. The breakfast was adequate. You will be fine.

Close to a Lot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/07
People were friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was lovely. Weekly rates saved us money, close to mall, easy access from 5, nice flowers on grounds. A very lovely place to stay for Seniors or families.

Stayed many times over 10 years
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
The grounds are very nice, as are the people. The rooms have everything you need, and the location is ideal. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you like a high quality place to stay! They used to allow pets, but no longer do. That is the only drawback, as I am a dog owner/lover!

Very Nice!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/06
We checked in without a reservation on Tuesday Oct 3. A good rate with AAA for $73.00 We were greeted very cordially. Very nice staff. Our room was quite well appointed with a refrigerator and microwave. Very clean room. Comfortable King size bed. The gardens are lovely with many beautiful rose bushes and bougainvillea. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. It was staffed by a very helpful gentleman. The food was plentiful: fresh fruit, muffins, rolls, fresh breads, cereals and juices. Thanks to the staff at Laguna Hills Lodge. We will definitely be back.

Great Hotel! We love the rooms by the garden. Clean, friendly. We always stay here when in orange county. We like the refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Close to a store and shopping.

Deluxe room??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/05
When my husband and I booked the room (30 days in advance), there were no rooms available at the AAA rate, so we had a choice between a smoking room or a Deluxe room at a higher rate. We chose the Deluxe room since we don't smoke. Check in time is 2:30PM and we didn't arrive until 4PM. We still had to wait 15 minutes for them to make up our room. When we arrived in our "Deluxe room", we found a very small, old, but clean room with way too much furniture crammed into it. It did have a lovely large patio/balcony, but it was too cold and foggy to use it. They provided a complimentary breakfast which had a large assortment of breads and pastries, juices and coffee, but the fruit was all gone when we arrived (at 9:30AM).
