Did not even book a room.

This establishment was recommended to me be a coworker, but I was wary of booking a room after reading an unfavorable review. I thought I would call and ask if they were aware of that review and I hoped that conversation would put my mind at ease. My experience was the exact opposite. I called and asked for a manager, who I assumed would be more likely to be aware of the review. The desk person that I spoke with said a manager was unavailable and insisted on trying to help me make a reservation. When I said I didn't want to make a reservation yet, but wanted to talk with a manager. He said goodbye and hung up on me.
When I called back and asked for his name, he would not give me his name and asked why I wanted it. When I insisted I wanted to know whom I was dealing with, he finally said "Martin". Considering how reluctantly he gave it up, I doubt that is even his name, but if anyone at the Lodge cares to investigate who is provide such appalling service to potential customers, my call was at 10:20 on Tuesday, July 31st.
The correct course of action would have been, at the outset, to tell me when a manager would be available and I would have called back then.
