We love it here
By Karin, 12/29/09
This little hotel has everything we wanted for a 4 night holiday stay. The rooms are being remodeled and we got a new one. The beds were comfy and the free breakfast had lots of choices. It's not fancy but the price is great for being a 10 minute drive to San Francisco. Once it becomes the renovated Larkspur Inn we hope to stay again.

Avoid This Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
I did not like getting bitten by fleas, the television satelite did not always work nor did the internet connection. The halls are dirty the rugs worn and shabby. The rooms are dirty and the furniture is worn out. Housekeeping yells to eachother in the hallways daily so don't plan on sleeping in. The manager does not respond to complaints period. He pretends no one else has ever complained to him about the problem and that he sprays often for fleas. Of course he is in denial that the fleas don't hatch out on the same day the pest control company comes to spray. Not a pleasant stay. Avoid this hotel.

Couldn't wait to leave this dump
By grandpa2one, 08/14/06
This place shouldn't even carry the name...Holiday Inn!! It should be called Joe's Overnight or Cheap Rooms. The young man who checked us in was very polite and it's not his fault the place is a dump. The room was dirty with old 1950 style furniture. The mattress looked like it was about 2 feet off the floor. The room had a terrible oder. My wife slept in her clothes. We got stuck here because we came into town late and there were no rooms at the nice hotels and we figured it was a Holiday Inn so it shouldn't be that bad. Wrong!!!!!!!

Good base
By BRIAN, 08/01/05
If you're looking for a place to operate out of and don't plan on hanging out then this hotel will meet your needs. We found the staff and manager in particular to be very friendly, helpful, and professional. We stayed in a number of hotels during our trip up/down the coast and this one was above average re: amenities - pool, continental breakfast, movies, extra towels & pillows. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunetly the hot H2O was unavailable to all on our departure day. We will likely use the same place next time through.

Close to everything!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/05
We stayed with a group of people for an event. This is not a stellar hotel, but the rooms were clean, and the front desk was helpful with procuring taxis etc. when we needed them. The location cannot be beat for access to San Francisco (via the Golden Gate Bridge), Sausalito (I like to shop), and state parks and beaches - we spent two days hiking through Mt. Tam State Park, which was simply gorgeous (March). This is not a hotel to stay at if you are planning to hang out at your hotel, but as a comfortable launching pad for other things to do it was perfect.

Terrible management, Vagrants scoping parking lot...WATCH YOUR STUFF!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/04
This hotel is located adjacent to a freeway bridge where vagrants hang out. My room was burglarized and the management took absolutely no action. The management was rude, and brushed the incident off as if it was no big deal, and said they were not liable for any of my loss because they recommend to put your stuff in the safe at the front desk (who puts their purse in a hotel safe when on vacation???). This hotel is an easy target for burglary due to it's close proximity to the freeway bridge where vagrants live, and the managements lack of action to prevent it (I saw no security measures taken). STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
