Lovely place to stay in Hollywood!

We stayed at the hotel for a few days the last week of August and just fell in love with the place. Forget the chain hotels and enjoy a unique experience staying in a lovely updated 1947 small hotel. The public spaces remind one of old hollywood and large photos of past stars decorate the walls. The stair cases and atrium are lined with original looking iron railings complemented by the art modern woodwork.
Our suite was large and comfortable. The living room was lined with windows overlooking the street with it's original buildings. We didn't use the fully stocked kitchenette, but someone staying longer might enjoy that convenience. The bedroom was huge with a walk in closet, a sit down private vanity table alcove and nice, clean bathroom. The large bed was very comfortable and dressed in lovely bedding.
We enjoyed the free breakfast and sat on the patio in front a few times. Parking is just behind the building and the staff do everything possible to have your car available when you need it.
Being so close to the Kodak Theater made it an ideal location, but you'd never know how close you are to the action by the quiet of the street the hotel is on. A quick pass thru the garage of the Kodak led right to the hustle bustle of Hollywood Boulevard.
Great room, great price, great location on Orchid, friendly service, close to the action...who could ask for more?
