Wyndham Irvine - Orange County Airport, Irvine

The hotel itself, physically, is acceptable, but the staff was not only below par by Crowne Plaza standard, but they also mischarged me even though I used my Priority Points for a complementary stay. When I received my credit card bill showing an unauthorized charge (I had a checout printed out showing balance of zero for the free night) this month, I called them immediately. The staff member I talked to told me it was a mistake, but no apology or explanation was offered. I asked him for his name, he gave me his first name and passed me to accounting. Accounting told me they were too busy to correct the mistake then and will do it next Monday. When I called back to attempt to get the full name of the first staff member I talked too initially, the person on the phone said they cannot give out names. I told him to pass me up to the hotel manager. He did correct the mistake and was professional about it. If this hotel made mistakes on people who stay frequently at their brand (I am a retired CEO who travels now for pleasure very frequently, including a Crowne Plaza stay just two weeks prior to this stay at Brudges, Belgium), I hate to see their normal behavior.

It gives me everything I need as a business traveller. I stay on the 12th floor. It is very quiet. I do not use the ear plug at all. The bed are very soft and comfortable. They changed the used towel everyday. It is very important to me. The room has coffe maker, iron, bathing rope, and the laudromat is at the 5th and 10th floor. The only thing I dislike is the indoor pool is too small for swimming. And there is no locker or towel as well.

I did not experience rude staff at all. They were VERY helpful to all of us. The shuttle services scheduled us to bring us to and from our events the entire time we were there. They did not even mind when we changed the time and pick up info. The room was cleaned well daily. None of my items were missing. I was given all I asked for with no attitude. Everyone was very helpful and friendly to me and the 3 other coworkers that were with me. The only thing I can agree with was that you can hear the closing of the doors. This was not enough to keep me up though.

I do not understand, nor did I experience any of the problems other reviewers mentioned. This is a standard Crowne Plaza and actually a little more than what you would expect for an airport area hotel. Very pleased.

beware of this hotel. Attitude ridden employees. Management is so unprogressive. The bell man just sits and watches while you unload you luggage. The staff is on the phone and won't help you. They are rude to people and treat people like dog ****. The one hotel that is worse is the crowne plaza lax. Please write your reviews. This hotel should not be allowed to be called a 3 1/2 star hotel, more like a 1 star hotel.

Rude staff and you can hear all of the hotel rooms doors slam all night and morning. Good luck get any rest. You have to pay 12 dollars a day for parking and the hotel isnt anywhere near a 3 star in its appearance and service. My boyfriend left his phone charger in the room and the maid service staff obviously took it because they said that it wasnt there. Stay away from this place. You'll be sorry if you dont.

Entering my small room (made tiny by the large table the decorator chose), I was surprised to find a small bag containing lavender linen spray, an eyemask and earplugs. I guess the hotel management knows their building. Were it not for the earplugs, it would have been a sleepless 6 nights. This building is a remarkable feat of engineering. It amplifies and transmits sounds like a stadium speaker system. I thrilled all night to a sympony of explosively flushing toilets, the guy next door urinating and every move and comment from the people on the other side. The noise just doesn't stop. Hotel employees could be heard talking to guests in the hall. Was it live, or was it Memorex? In my room, it sounded like they were right there hovering over my bed. Who needs an alarm clock when you can awaken to the energizing sounds of showers running and drainpipes draining at 4:00 am? And, all this with the earplugs in my ears. There is a bright spot to this early wakeup call however, since the hotel's Internet slows to an unusable crawl in the evening, the early wakeup gives us the opportunity to do our email in morning when the Internet actually works. The staff doesn't seem too happy about the situation either. In my 6 day stay, I saw only one of the mostly dour staff crack a smile. I ate only 1 meal at the hotel. $35.00 for a room service salad made me lose my apetite. Which is great, since I'm too fat anyway. Perhaps that could be a marketing angle for the Irvine Crowne Plaza: weight loss through high-priced food and sleep deprivation. Stay at your own risk.

Small Crowded Room. FRONT DESK staff unfriendly. Noisy room located near elevator. On a slow day did not even put my 2 room reservation on the same floor. Maid service did not come everyday. Had to just ask for a few clean towels one evening. Food from room service NOT GREAT! Have stayed in Orange County at the Radisson, Doubletree and Embassy Suites ....ALL ARE SUPERIOR TO THIS HOTEL!

I love this hotel, it is lees than a mile from John Wayne Airport,very clean and it is right across from my favorite food Italian restaurant Tuscany Mediterranee Grill,superb dishes.romantic ambiance. nice hotel, great food and friendly staff truly 5 star.

We stay here often and it is near John Wayne Airport and next to my favorite food Italian restaurant like Tuscany Grill,it is clean hotel with fine service,we eat out and our favorite is Tuscany Mediterranee Grill, their food is superb,it is walking distence from this hotel,front desk manager told us about it, and they were right ,good place to stay,great food to go with it,you can't ask more than that,
