Disappointed

I did know , beforehand , that this hotel was under-going "remodeling." But, when I entered the lobby and heard jack-hammering , very loud jack-hammering , needless to say I was "concerned."
I was hopeful that if I was assigned an upper floor , the noise would not be too severe. Well, I was mistaken. It was very difficult to enjoy the room or the view because the noise from the jack-hammering was extremely annoying. I checked in at about 11:00 AM , so it was prominent until noon , then continued until about 5:00 PM after the lunch break. It was not constant , but quite bothersome over-all. But I did not complain.
Another matter really bothered me. By mistake I was double-billed. It was very difficult , in my opinion , to speak with the appropriate individual to resolve the matter. It took me six calls , long-distance. Fortunately, the matter was resolved to my satisfaction but it was not easy.
I did write a thank-you note to the individual who finally assisted me. But over-all I was quite disappointed in the lengthy process it seemed to take to "connect" with the right individual.
I am not certain I would stay there again. Certainly not until after the remodeling is entirely completed.
