This was just an overnight stay, booking the room was quick and easy. When we arrived the hotel looked good from the roadway, but up close it was very tired and worn down in appearance.
The clerk at the front desk was very pleasant and check in was a breeze. The rooms were clean and comfortable but in need of updating. The closet doors had pad locks, the drawer and cabinet doors in the bath room were nailed shut so you couldn't store any toiletries if you were staying any length of time.
We were given coupons for free breakfast of one sausage link or bacon, a pancake and eggs any style. In the morning when we went to breakfast the waitress was very rude, came to the table asked what we would like to drink and snatched the coupons off the table without asking if we wanted to look at a menu..which we did. My husband had to go hunt her down and tell her we all didn't want the free breakfasts. Which only lead to her being even more rude since she had already placed our order with the cook.
I ordered the seafood omelet, which was to contain shrimp and crab meat. The seafood must have been frozen and then defrosted in the microwave for a long time as I was unable to eat or even bite into what little seafood was in the omelet.
The young lady in our group ordered the belguim waffle and was very rudely informed that it would take 15 minutes to heat up the waffle iron. When her waffle came, it took my son with a knife to cut through the edges of the waffle!
I'll stay at either the Motel 8 or Holiday Inn Express next time I'm in the area!
