Holiday Inn Redding, Redding

Be prepared to bring a pack mule with you to carry your luggage to your room if you are fortunate enough to stay on the 2nd floor. They do provide luggage racks but for some reason they can't go up the stairs! The $20.00 voucher you get for breakfast that is added to the fee of the room has alot to be desired. I ate alone the 1st morning, juice, coffee, chicken fried steak ONLY cost $18.95 !! Good thing my wife didn't join me. The wonderfull internet service was down for over 2 hrs when you most need it. If you want to catch up on the news you'll have to walk to the front desk and get a newspaper....they don't deliver one to your room but I'm sure that they will deliver my bill!! The bathrooms are so small you have to leave it to change your mind....don't drop anything on the floor. One has to wear steel toed work boots to navigate the bedroom.....there is not even enough room to walk between the end of the bed and the desk!....therefore boots to keep from breaking your toes! Unfortunately I have to stay here for another 5 nights as all of the other hotels were booked when I tried to get a room. Now I know why this hotel had so many rooms availlable!!

My room was Awesome! The TV was a newer one and everything was very clean. The building was very large and it felt like a resort. I have to say that the best part about my stay was Sam at the bar. He was very sweet and friendly. Just the kind if person you want around when you are a stranger from out of town. Thank You.

The exterior building looks quite nice but the rooms and hallways are worn out and in need of some updating. The bathroom was so tiny, the carpet in the room and the hallways had stains, and the AC is so loud, it is worse than the highway. The staff were not friendly at all, and few of them quite rude where they wouldn't answer when spoken to. I will not stay there again.

Front desk was efficient at check in, and most polite. Priority Club members get a free drink coupon for the bar. Room is clean, however smallish. Towels are sub-standard. Exterior pool is nice, clean, quiet and perfect water temperature! Exercise room has 5 pieces of Life Fitness equipment, including two tracks (but no elliptical trainer). No elevator to reach second floor rooms. Free high speed Internet via ethernet. Did not use the restaurant.
