Nice

The hotel was clean, quiet, and accomodating. It is located two blocks from Disney and has an IHOP right next door.

Red Lion ruined our vacation
By Robert, 6/30/10
We are a family of 4 2 boys 3 and 5 year old. We booked this Hotel thru Costo travel which is one of Disney’s good neighbor hotels. When we first checked in we were given a room that had not been cleaned yet. After a 1/2 day in the park we came back to find our room keys not working. My 5 year old who is autistic old pissed his pants cause we could get get into our room. The front lobby had only one person working at the time so we had to wait 1/2 hour until they could fix our room keys. You can imagine my Autistic son did not handle this well. They tried to tell us that we demagnetized the cards keys even thou both my wife and I had different card keys that would not work. The next morning when I was taking a shower I noticed that the shower drain was not draining they came to the room and tried to use some type of plunger on the drain. On the third day after returning from the park guess what? Our room keys did not work again. Again they tried to blame fault on us saying we demagatized the room keys. Come to find out the battery in the door lock was low so they comped us breakfast for the rest of our trip. On our last morning while I was using the toilet I noticed the dirty water starting to come up thru the bathtub drain. This was sewer water from other people. At that time I had enough and just wanted to leave. Thank you Red Lion for making our vacation a living hell. This was to be our family summer vacation that we saved up for 2 years. Red Lion made it the worst vacation ever. I will leave it up to them to make it right. We were in room 223 from 6/24/10-6/29/10

Nice, Clean Renovated Hotel
By Betty, 6/4/09
It was defnitely a good value for the money. The beds were comfortable and are exactly what is pictured on their website. The rooms have been recently rennovated so they are very stylish and modern looking. The pool was nice as well. They light up fire pits in the evening so it is very relaxing. You can see the Disney Fireworks very well from the windows on the 6th floor and above. The breakfast was okay but I didn't feel it was worth the price. Children 10 and under do eat free so that can save you a few bucks but when we were there the buffet was about $10.95 a person. Everyone that works there was very helpful. They set up a ride to the airport for us. The park is about a ten minute walk to the front gate. This can be a little tiring. The ART bus does stop there so you can ride the bus to Disneyland if you want. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping straightened the rooms up nicely on a daily basis. We stayed there ten nights. If you can get the room at about 99 dollars a night or less than it is a bargain. The rooms were very clean. They do have a laundry facility onsite but there are only 2 small capacity machines and 2 dryers and it seems everyone was always doing laundry. They really do need more washers and dryers for the amount of guests that they do have. I will be visiting again in Mid June so I will write another review than to let everyon know if the service has stayed consistent.

Won't go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/1/09
Good - Room was clean and quiet. Bad - Reserved King Bed Room. Arrived and was told all King Rooms don't have a bathroom door! So took a handicapped King Room which had bathroom door - no bathroom countertop, no hair dryer, no towel racks, showerhead very hard to work, no closet to hang clothes in. Since there were no bathroom counters I set a glass on back of toilet. When we came back to the room the glass had fallen off and shattered all over bathroom floor. I called front desk and got no response so called housekeeping and they said they would come and sweep it up. 45 minutes later I called front desk and they answered and sent someone up within 10 minutes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay at it again.

Try somewhere else - to many unexpected fees
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/08
We booked thru hotwire (which I will NEVER do again) when we got to the hotel our room was clean but in disrepair there was wallpaper peeling from the walls, stains and rips in the carpet. There was a $10 PER DAY parking charge and they held $50 per day for "incidentals" which they have yet to release and we have been home 3 days. Also the restaurant on site was VERY expensive $15 for breakfast per person. The staff was friendly but it didn't make up for the extra charges and yucky room.

Never go back!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/13/08
We were not told about the $10 a day parking until we arrived. The staff at the front desk were rude. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. We are smokers and reserved a smoking room, but when we arrived were told there was no smoking in the entire hotel, although their web site states most of their rooms are non-smoking rooms, not all. We had a confirmation that we had reserved a smoking room. The maid reported that she smelled smoke in our room and $250 was charged to our credit card for this offense.

NOT GREAT SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
First of all no one told us it was in the process of changing names. We cant check in when we arrive, the room was still dirty when they said it was clean, and the front desk was just a bunch of kids with no clue. I thought I would stick it out, but then the hotel catches on fire in one of the rooms. Ok - understandable -- but then the mgt can not open the health club or the business center. GREAT HOTEL ON A BUDGET BUT NOT BUSINESS !!!! Go to the Sheraton across the street - for a few dollars more -- ahhhhhhhhhhh

GREAT location...excellent value.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/07
Some areas of hotel are showing wear; staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. Great location...better value than higher priced hotels next door. Walk to Disneyland And California Adventure 1 block away. Food was very good and reasonably priced.
