DoubleTree by Hilton Anaheim - Orange County, Orange

We just returned from a 6 night stay at the Doubletree and everything was even better than I anticipated. We booked on priceline for 65 over busy spring break for a Disneyland trip and had a great time. The staff was very accomadating and upgraded us to an executive room when I explained my need for a fridge/micro because of a special diet. The room (which is the smae size as a standard) was spacious even with our 3 kids. We had great view- even caught the fireworks- from the 19th floor, (request to be on the park side away from the freeway). The beds were very comfy, the bathtub was extremely shallow, but the bath area was lovely granite and even had a drawer. I loved the spacious closet, dresser, side tables and large desk we were even able to access the internet form the room without paying for the connection thanks to nearby wireless. I was worried about snobbish business travelers since we were going with kids but there were many other family travelers there. The shuttle to DL was fantastic!!!!! It was prompt and effecient and we never had one problem over 5 days in the park. The pool was small and freezing despite the webpage saying it was heated (March visit) but the hot tub was perfect, not too hot for the kids. The pool area-koi pond was lovely and very luxurious as was the lobby. It doesn't look much like the pictures which have been brightened to look too modern for my taste, the actual hotel colors were very muted and cozy, much more classy. My only compaints were that they never replaced the coffee cups and I had to call twice for replacements which took over an hour and a half both times, the cold pool, and the outragous $12 parking fee. We avoided this by parking across the street and walking since we didn't need the car much. On the whole I would deffinetly return if I got a similar deal- maybe even pay more.

Liked - Service of rooms was excellent. Friendly staff. Coffee making facilities, free shuttle bus to Disneyland punctual, luggage storage available, free use of internet facilities, large and smaller shopping centres close by, bus to huge shopping centre using $3 per day pass each. Dislikes - "Guest appreciation day" breakfast once a month - tea/coffe/muesli bars/cakes etc - great idea but not advertised. Painting of building during our stay - understand this is necessary but disappointed that nothing was mentioned and we lost our view for our whole visit. A good value hotel (we booked on the net so got a good rate). Central to Disneyland area but plan for a 8.30am to 9.30pm day if you wish to go to Universal studios due to distance, traffic and hotel drop offs at end of day.

the room smelled like smoke. the beds where hard. sheets wouldn't stay on. loud noise through the walls. the hotel was great. the pool was great. well i wouldn't stay here!

I got to the Anaheim Doubletree on a Tuesday. I was very impressed with the lobby, and also the staff I had the chance to interact with that 1st night. I didnt get a chance to use alot of the hotel ammenities such as the gym, pool, tennis courts, volleyball courts or basketball courts on account of a busy schedule. I found the rooms very comfortable with ideal climate control. The pillows were a little soft for me, but that does not denote a bad pillow but my own preferences. The rooms are very well maintained on a daily basis. I stayed here for a trip to Disneyland. If that might be the plan for you how you'll get to the park is worth thinking about. Whether you choose the Hotels shuttle to the park, or you drive, the result is easy access to the freeway. All in all a great expereince.

Very Clean, Friendly enviornment. Very Nice hotel. The rooms were nice, looked newly remodeled. Overall a great hotel for a good price if you search.
