Curry Village, Yosemite National Park

We just returned from a 2 nite stay at Curry Village. I was very surprised at the raucus atmosphere of the Camp. I think having a bar and package liquor store on site probably contributes to the loud noise. If you want a peaceful and tranquil nature experience then Curry Village is not for you.
If you are a soccer hooligan visiting from Europe then you will feel right at home. The atmosphere is similar to the parking lot of the Oakland Coliseum before a Raiders game. If you like to wander around in the dark with a cigarette in one hand and a beer (or a maragarita glass the size of a fishbowl) in the other you will meet many kindred spirits. I would not reccommend bringing a family here unless you want your children to learn a new word that starts with f. If you do stay here be sure to bring ear plugs, we did and they helped.
