Would stay there again
By Dwight D, 06/01/09
We stayed here over Memorial Day 2009. We were quite pleased with the hotel and staff. Friendly and hotel was fully equipped and clean. While the hotel was fine the local Italian restaurant was less than desirable. Di Ciccos suffers from a lack of organization and management attention. While the food was fine, the lack of any management oversight caused innumerable delays in getting seated and service. We would not eat there again.

Great Inexpensive Family Hotel
By LA Aztec, 03/28/08
We have stayed at this Best Western the past 2 spring break trips to Yosemite and it has been great both times. We get a room for a great price, the kids love the pool, there are a lot of options for food in Oakhurst and the room is great for our family of 5. We get the "suite" which has a separate bedroom with a total of 3 queen beds. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's less than $100 a night. Our parents come to and they enjoy their room as well. The hotel has been there for a while, but it's a great deal for us! It is a drive into the park, but for a place to stay IN Oakhurst, this works great. The grounds are very lovely as well. Very green and "forest like".

nice clean rooms
By , 08/26/07
The hotel is a good price for the quality of rooms. We enjoyed our stay. The pools were also great. The only negative is the amount of driving to get to Yosemite Valley. But, If you cannot stay in the park. This is a great location.

Good for Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/07
Very friendly staff. Can have either seclusion in upper back area of hotel or closer to front. Playground with lots of playground equipment for children to jump, climb and have fun on.

Place to Relax
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/06
This Best Western is one of the best that I have encountered. The location is excellent for going to the gold country, Yosemite or Bass Lake. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. The grounds are great for both exercise or to relax. Would not be honest if the so-so Internet access from the rooms was not mentioned. For work go somewhere else. To relax and play, this is the place

Home away from home
By Lady49er, 05/14/06
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we knew this would be special. It looked like a cabin lodge with a huge stone fireplace & waterfall. Everything in our room was perfect; it was clean, nicely decorated (including a Yosemite themed mural painted on the wall), and everything worked. The staff was courteous and responsive. And the price was right! The restaurant that is right next door was relatively inexpensive and had a nice atmosphere and great staff. Only two minor things were noted on the negative side, and they are both completely subjective. The beds were a tad hard for my taste, but my husband said they were fine. Also, the complex is a series of buildings built on a hillside. It is quite the hike from the bottom where we were staying up to the building where the indoor pool and spa were located. No big deal though because there's plenty of parking up there if you don't feel like making the hike or are unable to. Oh, one more "bad" thing... the room was so nice that I didn't want to leave to go take in the sights! ;-)

I've stayed in Oakhurst a few times on our way to Yosemite but never here until recently. In the future, I will stay here whenever possible.

Fantastic Overall Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/05
This hotel is it all: great service, free broadband Internet, outstanding rooms, and reasonable proximity to Yosemite National Park. Be sure to give yourself a good 1.5 hours to get from this hotel to the Yosemite Valley in the heart of the park. Everything you need is close by, including an outstanding breakfast at Katie's Country Kitchen one block south of the hotel.
