Nice Place

Rooms are a little out-dated. Suites with balconies not very private. Views are outstanding from either side of the hotel - SD bay is across the stree on one side, marina on the other. Very quiet at night. Great place for kids - there's a playground within walking distance. Pool is nice. If you know your way around SD, this hotel is a pretty short drive to either downtown or Mission Beach.

This is a great hotel. I stayed in a suite with 5 other girls and there was plenty of room for all of us. The room was very clean, beautiful, and looked updated. The view of the marina from our room windows was amazing. The suites also have a nice little balcony area. For the most part, the staff was very accommodating and polite. There was ample free parking as well. The only downside is that you do have to drive to get to the beaches, downtown area, and any good restaurants. There isn't too much to do right around the hotel. It's not a far distance, but you will need a car.

Great view of San Diego

The motel is only a few miles from the airport and the city yet it is on a small, quiet, park-like island. Great day and night time view of downtown San Diego across the bay. 5 minute drive to downtown.

nice hotel, quiet location

THis was a nice hotel for the money, considering the upgrade to a king suite. We had a nice view of the bay. The kids loved watching the military ships and planes. The pool is sheltered and a good size. The restaurant had good food (we tried breakfast) The only bad thing was our movies/video games didn't work which we had counted on for the night. We had the repairman in and out of our room 3 or 4 times, he couldn't fix it and we were not compensated at all not even with an apology. Otherwise, a nice place to stay. Location is most positive aspect of this hotel. It is close to Sea World, downtown and Coronado without being in a bad area (due to it being on the "island").

All in all It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals. N e t. They usually have some pretty good deals on there.

Can't wait to go back

We stayed here in May 2008. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. They upgraded our room since it was not that crowded. Very clean and relaxing (pool and hot tub overlooking marina). Wonderful park across the street for long walks. Would definitely go back.

They had a nice pook. The room was big enought for all of us to sleep confortable, big screen tv with cable. I like the fact that it was convenient to the bank, grocery store, and sea world.

We LOVE this place!

The staff is AWESOME. They helped us find the place, they got an EXCELLENT room with beautiful views. The restaurant is the best I've had. The food is better than delicious. The hotel is super clean and I usually hate staying in hotels, but I would come back to this one everytime. Thank you!
