Doesn't Stand Behind Advertising
By Shawna, 5/19/12
I have never been more disappointed in a company's customer service than I have today. I received an deal e-mail for this hotel. I looked at the company's website and was excited about trying a new local hotel and restaurant. I made a point to look at the details so I would know what the limitations were for the deal. I was very interested in the No Tell Room and I decided that I would take the plunge and purchase the deal. I reserved the room only to hear back from the reservations clerk on my voicemail stating that the deal does not apply to suites. I clearly read the restrictions prior to my purchase and reservations. I was careful in reading the property's website that was advertised to make sure that I was booking within the guidelines of the offered deal. The deal is clear about what it offered. It clearly stated that I am required to pay a green fee, the blackout dates, and the fact that the voucher cannot be used for SUITES. The property's website in NO WAY indicates that the No Tell Room is anything but a ROOM. The hotel offers single rooms, double rooms, no tell room, and farmers suites. Anyone that reads the hotel website could righteously say that the farmer's suite is not part of the deal, but the other ROOMS are within the parameters of the deal offered. The description of the No Tell Room on the hotel website in no way indicates that it is a suite, but only references it as a ROOM. It does not indicated that it has more than one room, possibly indicating a suite. There is no reference anywhere on the hotel website that this ROOM is a suite. The deal does not restrict any of the rooms, it only says that the customer cannot use it for a suite. I contacted the Farmer's Daughter Hotel and received the worst service. The operator answered and I requested the reservation department. She stated that she could help me. I informed her of my voicemail and she abruptly stated that the deal was no good for suites. I tried to tell her about the verbiage on the deal website and their own website and she cut me off stating that it is not good on a suite. Frustrated, I asked for the General Manager of the property. I was transferred to Dan (unknown last name), who stated that he was the GM of the Farmer's Daughter. He was abrupt and constantly interrupted as I told him my plight. He repeatedly stated that it didn't matter what the website stated, that their in-house computer systems indicate the the No Tell Room is a suite. When I tried to tell him that his website does not indicate this, he stated that he was still not going to honor the deal for that room. When I shared my frustrations with Farmer's Daughter not standing by their advertised work, Dan told me that he was still not going to honor what was advertised. This is a company who doesn't stand behind their advertising and will never have my business.

3rd stay not so good
By JoeG, 4/7/09
First I should note that this was the 3nd time I had stayed at the Farmers Daughter. The first two times I had no complaints and the rooms were clean and the staff was very courteous. However, the first time I stayed in the main building (that attached to the front office). This third time I was in the second building which is faces the inner parking lot. There were a few problems. 1) There was a huge amount of flies for some reason on both floors by each stair well. 2) The air conditioner was not getting cold. After traveling for 13 hours straight we were exhausted and ready to sleep until we realized the AC did not get cold and the temperature of the room was rising uncomfortably. I called front desk who immediately sent a maintenance guy who was unable to fix the problem. The staff offered to give us another room but it was 11pm and we had just unpacked 4 suite cases worth of stuff and we really did not feel like moving up another floor. Big mistake. It was a ruff night of no sleep for everyone. 3) The hot and cold on the shower faucet was reversed which could have been very dangerous 4) They should really tell you that you have to pay an extra $18 a day to park your car at the hotel so if you drive don't for get to add this to the cost of your room 5) When I checked out the next day and I told the front desk about how unsatisfied I was, most specifically the no air conditioning he did not even look at me and just muttered a sarcastic "Sorry." I looked on their web site to try and find someone I could write about my problems this last stay but there is no contact information except for phone number and that just goes to the front desk and it is obvious that they could not do anything. If the hotel would have offered me credit or at the very least a sincere acknowledgment that there was problem I probably would have stayed there again but I probably will pass the next time in in LA.

Had a Great Time
By Kimberley B, 7/11/08
We stayed at the Farmer's Daughter after attending a talent competition in LA. The room was reasonable and more than spacious enough for two adults and two teens. We loved the decor and the food at TART was divine. The Farmer's Market was a huge plus and the teens loved the Johnny Rocket's there! We had only intended to stay in LA for 5 days, but ended up staying 10, and moving to the Farmer's Daughter seriously helped so that we could stay without straining our budget to the max. Close to everything- Lacieniga Blvd, Melrose, Hollywood, the beach, and of course the Beverly Center. How can you lose?

Great Place! PRICE IS RIGHT contestant recommended!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/08
We were 2 girls going to the Price is Right and needed a safe place close to the studio to stay. THIS WAS IT! It was very cute, safe, fun and perfect for us. It was right across the street from the studio so we walked over in the morning. Parking in the area is bad so it was great that we could leave the car parked until we were done taping the show. You must valet but it was worth it! The little cafe they have called TART was a great place to get a night cap. It was clean and for the area I think a great value. They even had a little clinic for people that were staying there that were going on the Price is Right. It was very informative and of the 3 couples that were at the clinic, strangely, we all had one person from our group that got picked on contestant row including myself!! So if that wasn't strange but it was great!! I would stay there again in a heart beat!

The price was definitely right!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/20/08
The outside of the hotel is a little strange looking. The rooms were very basic but extremely clean and I felt safe there. The staff was very friendly and you can't beat the location. The Price is Right and the Tyra Banks show (among others) tape in the building across the street. It's also across the street from the famous Farmer's Market. We booked this trip (fight & hotel) with Expedia and stayed at this hotel for practically nothing. Great hotel!

Repeat visitor of this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/2/07
The location is great! Just across the Grove and a 5 min drive from Rodeo, this is a shopping addict's dream location. The rooms are unique and cute although a little small. I don't like staying on the 1st floor anywhere in general and I think that is true for here as well since the hotel neighbors a major street and sunlight may be limited.

What a Find!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/07
Farmer's Daughter is kitschy, fun, and friendly. I loved the location-Farmer's Market and the Grove are directly across the street. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast at the courtyard restaurant TART was a huge treat! Food and service were EXCELLENT!!!

We had a good stay here
By Susan, 7/19/07
The location is excellent. The Farmer's Market is right across the street. Plenty of places to eat and shop. I think we only used our car once. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Would stay here again.
