Sad to hear the news.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/10
My husband and I stayed at the Majestic in the late 80's and were planning to return next month. I loved the hotel and especially the baths and pampering.

What a time!
By Brandy, 01/28/10
My family and I have gone to the Majestic for years. I am sad to hear that it is condemned and will be turned into apartments. We enjoyed the baths and massages each and every time we have visited. The majestic is the best it is not all that as far as appearance but the services and its uniqueness was an awesome experience. The staff were excellent and I wish that whoever is turning it into apartments would reconsider.

this is down the street where i stayed. It has been closed down for awhile, condemned. A company just bought it last month and the plans are to renovate it and make it into apartments

Time doesn't change everything
By Hobson Victim, 05/02/09
I have been staying in the Majestic for over 20 years. It is a very unique place. You will either love or hate it. It has patches on the ceilings where repairs have been done and is not a Westin or Hyatt. But it has it's own charm. Great spa. Without a doubt the best in town. Great breakfast before heading to track. Always a cab handy so parking is no problem. The Hot Springs cabs are a lot like the Majestic. Many are old station wagons that look like Ozzie & Harriet. But it is always fun to find another couple or single to pack in and ride. There are also many great shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. If you are snooty and must be pampered you won't like the Majestic. If you are adventurous and enjoy stepping back in time with a bunch of nice staff people you will have a great stay.

HOTEL WITH HISTORY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/08
BENN HERE SEVERAL TIMES IN THIRTY YEARS. WHEN I WAS LITTLE,THEY WOULD PUT LITTLE GOLDFISH IN THE KIDDIE POOL FOR KIDS TO CATCH AND KEEP. ALL ABOUT FAMILY AND TRADITIONS HERE. IF YOU LOVE ISTORIC PLACES WITH CHARM,YOULL LOVE THIS PLACE.RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE DOWNTOWN ACTION BUT STILL MAINTAINING CHARM. FEEL LIKE YOU STEPPED BACK IN TIME. YOU MIGHT EVEN GET A VISIT OR TWO FROM SOMEONE FROM THE PAST.{CHECK OUT HAUNTED HISTORY ON GOOGLE.}I CANT HELP BUT SMILE WHEN I THINK OF THIS PLACE AND ALL OF THE BEUTIFUL WOODWORK,CHANDELIERS AND DESIGN.YOU WONT LIKE THIS PLACE IF YOURE INTO MODERN FURNISHINGS AND CHEAPLY DESIGNED,COOKIE CUTTER ROOMS . I WOULD LIVE HERE IF I COULD!

Loved that Old Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/07
I took my two daughters to Hot Springs for their Birthday. It was wonderful having my daughters all to myself (no grandchildren or husbands)We had such a good time. We explored the hotel and thought of all the people of yesteryear who had stayed at this hotel. We made some great memories with all our laughing and exploring Thank You Majestic Mary

Just Use The Spa & Massage
By Randall, 09/27/06
Hotel is BAD!! The spa is a great experience, We stay elseware and utilize the spa and Massage services regularly. Usually, we camp at Ouchita State Park in our RV. The park beats the Hotel by a mile.

Couldn't sleep!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/06
The spa services-- mineral bath and massage--were excellent and very professional. But the benefits were all wasted because the bed was so hard! Breakfast was great.

The Majestic is not so majestic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/06
My wife and I took a trip to hot springs to get away. We paid 165 for the king suite with a jacuzzi. The lobby smells like an old persons house. The elevators are TINY and they creek and shake. as we were walking down the hallway, it reminded me of the shinning or some haunted hotel you see on tv. our room was alright but the heater hadnt been turned on in months. we stayed in the room for about 10 mins. The only good thing about it was that they refunded all of our money before we left.
