When scheduling an event, staff are great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/10
We set up a meeting between out of town professionals. The staff was very helpful, courteous, explained all details of the room and food arrangements. Very pleased. Great attitude.

Would go back again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/09
We had some trouble with the internet in the room and had to use the lobby internet but the staff was so sweet and helpful and we only needed the internet for flight check in so it was ok.(can't complain over free internet) The room was large and well appointed, except the light over the sink was dim and that made dressing for all the parties that weekend tough. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The pool was lovely and they have these fire pits at night with live music some nights which was very nice. The bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast by the pool was fantastic in the morning and a great start to the day. We would go back and for the money! for sure we would go back! The location was very good, central to all our needs. Parking was free and you could always find a spot. Our family joined us there for swimming and evening smores around the fire pits and were very impressed. The next trip we would stay there again, great value and comfortable beds what else does one need?! (just a makeup mirror)

Nothing Special
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/08
The hotel has many problems however, for what it lacks in quality and service the staff attempts to make up for in friendliness. Do not expect anything on time. Food poisoning is a common occurance for nearly all guests at the restaurant. The TV is small by anyone's standards and the cable selection is minimal, however, not suprising given this is only a three star hotel. If you are going to stay in Tucson, and you don't mind being this far out, I would suggest going a little further to the Westin Lapaloma. Much better quality.

Hotel Okay Security Not
By Juliette, 4/2/08
We stayed here and when we arrived the staff was very nice. We went up to our room which was okay, but had a very strong mildew smell. The bed was VERY comfortable, but the bathroom was very small. The TV was also almost comical it was so small in such a large armoire. The restaurant was pretty pricey but it was surprisingly really very good for dinner. Then the next morning we went down and our vehicle had been broken into along with 5 others. They managed to take our registration and found our extra house keys. One of the people who had there car broken into from the same area had the same thing taken and a phone call was made to there house around 1:45am to presumably check to see if anyone was home. We were told we needed to call our home town police, as we are from the Phoenix area two hours away, and have someone go change our locks if possible on our house. The hotel ended up giving us one night free out of three after we complained to the desk man. The hotel overall is supposed to be making upgrades, which are needed, and so if you were take away our vehicle experience I would say it was slightly overpriced for the quality of rooms.

Don't stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/16/08
If you want to spend $200 for one night in a dirty room with stained furniture and a tub that won’t plug and face an over-the-top perky morning staff who are oblivious to your disgruntled appearance and complaints and instruct you to have a GREAT DAY even though they don’t offer to compensate you for your lousy stay, then this is THE place to stay! I won’t go there again, so there’ll be a room waiting for you. I’ll be staying at the Hilton in Mesa instead.

Great Hotel with excellent service. Oh, and awesome buffet brunch!!! Had a wonderful vacation with the family. Got to visit "Old Tucson", go horseback riding, and also had time to enjoy the jacuzzi outside.

No Ice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
I stayed there for sixty days. When I arrived, the ice machine on the fifth floor wasn't working and sixty days later it still wasn't working. I had to go down two floors to get ice. Not good business for a five star hotel.

Oasis in the Desert
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/6/07
As I travel nearly 250 days a year I end up in many hotels all around the world. This has been one of the most pleasurable stays I've had in a long long time. Even though they are going through major renovations you would never know it. I’ve had a chance to visit with such a wide variety of staff from my housekeeper, a facilities person replacing wall paper in the men’s restroom, food and beverage manager, bell captain, front desk, gift shop, catering and the General Manager and every one was a pleasure to talk to and work with. The facility is well maintained and attractive, well placed in location and the view is magnificent. Not only have the staff provided great service but did a tremendous job of anticipating needs. It’s a credit to the quality of the staff and management. Many thanks for a great stay to Kevin and his whole staff.
