This place needs a make over
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/09
OMG!!! This hotel is a dump. You pay 100+ for a room and you get no coffee pot, some of the bathroom doors don't shut, and rust in the bathtubs. Oh, there are cockroaches as well. Not worth 100+. I think I will seek a bed and breakfast next time.

Horrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
Charging $89.00 per night for this standard room is robbery. Toilets didn't work, light fixtures didn't work, ice machine didn't work, pool filthy, patio and chairs never cleaned and we couldn't sit there. The front desk closes early and there is nobody available to assist with problems in the room. One of my family members bed was dirty when they checked in. No alarm clocks or clocks, the wake up call service didn't work, no coffee available, resturant was closed, the vending machines didn't work, and many other difficulties with the rooms. 2 rooms smelled like smoke from the steak barbeque downstairs. The owner would not listen to our complaints. They charged our credit cards at check in and it was too late at checkout to have the account disputed. Was woken up by a total stranger at 6:15 am pounding on the door looking for the owner. There was no way to contact staff. The only show in town is a farse. Gregg "The Owner" was unavailable at our check out to adjust our account. I am from Patagonia and was very disappointed that my friends and family had to endure the hotel at such a high cost.

Needs work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/05
Lobby was charming old-style western. Receptionist was very nice. Someone made a real attempt to clean the room & exterminate (bugs on the floor were all dead). Room was very expensive - and left much to be desired. Tub was clean but all rusted. Room had musty smell. The pool was disgustingly dirty & right outside our patio door. There was a dirty drinking fountain near the soda machine. If it had been one-third the price, it would have been acceptable (sort of), but for the price we paid, we should have had a MUCH better room.

Birding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/04
This is a good location to stay as it is in the middle of one of the best birding areas in the U.S. with many rare birds only found in the surrounding area. Also a nice scenic area for hot air balooning.
