Make a beautiful memory at Sanctuary
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/07
Staying at Sanctuary was quite a memorable experience. We upgraded to a one bdrm. 1,000 s.f. mountain view casita and were not charged for it. The casita had a beautiful layout and a patio that had a unparelled close up view of Camelback Mountain. Spa service, in room service, valet, housekeeping, jade bar, and elements were stupendous. Do expect low key elegance and personal service across the board. One of the nicest surprises was every time we left our casita, we came back to the suite to find fresh towels, mini bar, new moisturizers... The one size fits all men's bathrobe for my "large" husband was magically changed to an xl for him on day two. Forget all other resorts - this one makes you feel like you live on Camelback Mountain!

We had a wonderful stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/05
We were especially pleased with "The Elements", the restaurant on site. Every meal we had there was exceptional. The spa was great and I highly recommend the seaweed wrap, massage and facial. I wasn't that impressed with the pedicure...whereas everything else was done in a luxurious, private and serene area, the pedicure was done in a noisy alcove off of the gym.

Hip resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/05
I'd been going to John Gardiner's Tennis Ranch for a while. The new Sanctuary (over-hauled, at the same location) is a major step up. This is a great place to get away to for a long weekend or even a week away. If you want good food, beautiful scenery, and a healthy/active vacation (golf, tennis, spa etc), and are ok paying a fair amount for a quality boutique resort, then I'd definitely recommend The Sanctuary.

Good value and great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/08/04
just came back from The Sanctuary. Stayed in a deluxe mountain suite casita (would recommend over the spa casitas since they are less cold and modern feeling, more cozy with great views. food was very good, although we also ventured out for dinner in Scottsdale (bloom was very good). Thai foot massage with Denny was amazing and the spa services were very nice. Good hiking too. Did the spa harmony package which was great. Included a full breakfast that could be brought to the room, which was a plus. Restaurant was not very casual, more upscale and required nicer dress (for dinner mostly).
