Paid Twice, Beware!
By ,
It seems someone else has had the same problem as me. (look at the other reviews) I booked through hoteldotcom. When it came to checking in the guy on reception claimed he knew nothing about it. He wasn't exactly helpful and took my card details. A few weeks later, I received my bank statement. A payment had been taken from hotelsdotcom and another from Days inn. I had been charged twice. Despite repeated attempts, I couldn't get this resolved and never got my money back. If you have paid through a third party and they claim ignorance under no circumstances part with your card details and insist they sort it there and then. I don't know whether the guys ignorance was genuine or not but, it left a very sour taste. It is not the way to do business!

Never Again!
By ,
I booked this hotel online and received the total due including taxes and additional fees. I paid the bill and noticed that they charged me an additional $2.50 for the safe. They charge guests $2.50 per night for the safe, even if you never use it. I stayed here two years ago and the fee was $1.50 per night for the heat bill, now it's the safe. The hotel is more run down now. The rooms needed better cleaning, the door was very difficult to lock. The trash in the outside trash bends were overflowing. I had to use a plunger to unplug the toilet after flushing down two of my personal Kleenex; by the way, the room had no Kleenex so I used my personal stash. There was no iron/ ironing board, or mini fridge as stated when booked. I'd rather had a fridge than a miniture safe that was never used. People complained about the train coming by throughout the stay. That did not bother me. You can definately find a similar hotel for a much cheaper price. Never again!

Don't Stay Here!
By ,
We arrived, checked in and were given the key to a room that was not ready for us. The manager was unapologetic for this. When we finally did get in the room our key wouldn't work. The breakfast in the morning was cleaned up and put away before the 9:00 o'clock closing hour. When i asked for some food I was rudely tossed a box of Lucky Charms. I toured the city for the day and returned at 10:00 pm to find my room not cleaned, beds unmade. When I called the front desk to complain they had no apology but blamed it on my for having put the Do Not Disturb sign while I went to the nonexistent breakfast in the morning. The manager rudely swung his arm to the left when i asked him if he had a business center, rather than politely informing me that yes they had one and showing me where it was located.

Expensive and well used rooms.
By ,
The furnitue in the rooms was dirty. And house keeping did not clean the room very well. There was food crumbs on the floor in the corners that should have been vacuumed up. The front door had settled, and it was very hard to open. The breakfast bagles and bread looked and felt as if there were old. There was no protein and very little fruit. The pool was green with algae. When these issues were brought to the motel attendants attention, his response was that if we did not like the room furnishings and breakfast food, we did not have to stay there. It was our choice.

Great place to stay!
By ,
We have stayed in Flagstaff many, many times but on this particular weekend, many of the hotels and motels we are familiar with were booked. So we took our chances and drove to Flag and decided to walk in and check out a few we hadn't stayed at before. Looking online, Days Inn got our attention because of the game room and large pool. We were very impressed as soon as we walked in. The staff was very friendly and room rate was a value. We had a blast playing pool, however, don't forget your cash, each game is a dollar. Another great suprise was a bar available in the lobby near the games. Our only complaint there was the pricing. Very expensive for beer($5) and mixed drinks($6). The swimming pool was fantastic. Large and very, very clean. On Sunday morning, someone was out there cleaning it for a good deal of time and her hard work showed! Breakfast was decent-nothing fancy by any means. There were a lot of guests and only one woman working to refill items, so a few things ran empty but did eventually get filled. We would have liked to have had some fresh fruit, which is not offered. The rooms were clean and good sized. All in all, we had a wonderful trip and will definitely stay at this Days Inn again!

The Family will not use this Hotel again
By ,
I like the pool. BUT! we noticed these things in the room: 1 - Room A/C was not cold enough even though set to MAX COLD. 2 - Refrigerator not cold enough 3- Microwave charge for $10/night 4-Power outlet to one of the lamps not working 5-Wi-fi too slow 6-Main door of room not properly weatherstripped allowing noice and hot air to come in the room 7- Towel hanger left uninstalled on the floor with its mounting hardware in the bathroom. With all these inconveniences, maybe we can say "We got what we paid for"

Nice hotel for the cost
By ,
Overall, I have to say that I'm pleased with the hotel for the price paid. The room was clean, and I received pretty good service. The only downfalls are the railroad behind the hotel (loud at times), and the extra $2.50 fee per night for utilities (not mentioned when reserving room). I'd stay in again. Hotel offered nothing spectacular; however the room was clean, and safe!

The motel is good for the money you have to pay. But they have a really poor breakfast.

They promise the World . . . .
By ,
I booked 3 rooms - requested ground floor with fridge & microwave. I got first floor with no fridge and no microwave. They would not allow us to change as "we had already entered the rooms." They claimed rooms were newly renovated. Well, they all smelt musky - on the second night, 2 rooms leaked through the roof when it rained. WE had to ask reception for screwdriver to fix the interleading door. When it came to bathing the children, all 3 rooms did not have a bath plug. Breakfast was a case of having to ask the staff to replenish again and again. Many rooms had white tape on the curtains to cover up tears, sun damage. I could go on and on but am limited to 4000 characters. Customer Services promised a response in 2 weeks, and guess what - no response. Days inn promise * As our guest, you can expect warm hospitality and clean comfortable rooms where everything works . . . . * We are prepared to resolve any situation that does not meet our high standards * We are personally responsible and strive to ensure you have an exceptional stay. We realize that this is a budget hotel, and did not expect 5* treatment, however, the basics were missing altogether. Rather pay the extra and avoid the hassle!
