Regency Fairbanks Hotel, Fairbanks

I loved that the managers ( Dusten/Deena) would be so helpful. If i had a qustion they were more than glad to help out. It is a great place to stay in Fairbanks. Alot of milatary people stay there. Thats the main reason i came to AK. From the very begin they made me feel like i was right a home. When i come back to AK i will be deff staying there again!!!

We thought the Regency was a great place to stay and would recommend it to everybody.

We as locals decided to stay at a hotel for a night to escape. Even as we checked in, the receptionist had an attitude. I really felt we were not welcome. That night, the toilet would not work. That was fun. Although we are smokers, we did our best to smoke outside. A few times, we did smoke in the bathroom with the fan on. The Regency is a non-smoking hotel. The atmosphere of the whole place was bad. We never felt welcome. They made us feel second class. The restaurant is in the cold basement. The prices were outrageous. After check out and a few days later, we find Regency has stolen $100 from our bank account for a smoking charge. So... one lousy stay at a fourth rate worn out hotel cost us $219.05. We will never, ever stay at this hotel again. And being locals and knowing lots of people, we will run off by not recommending as many guests they could have had. In fact, we checked out of this place and stayed the next night at the Westmark Hotel. That place was awesome and we highly recommend it. It is even on the same street, (10th Ave.) not two blocks down, not out of your way and costs less. The restaurant was great. We KNOW you will have a better stay at the Westmark Hotel. I do not expect this review to stay. As I expect they pick and choose only good reviews to post. I have copied this content and am posting it everywhere I can. The economy is bad enough.
