GuestHouse Suites Plus, Huntsville

Fireplace hadn't been cleaned & therefore we were unsure to use it, no wood provided anyway. Beds & pillows were hard as rocks. There was no ventilation, so the room became stale and caused our sinus cavities to go haywire. And finally the kitchen faucet dripped. We checked in at 9:30 pm & checked out at 3:00 am. Could not make it through the entire night.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are nice but the employees seem to not care to much about there customers! I stayed one night and decided to stay another so i called and let them know that night....well the next day i happened to come back for lunch and they didn't even know that i called and asked to stay another night! They charge your credit card every night you stay and then when you check out they charge your card AGAIN for all the nights combined! Needless to say we stay there the 23 24 and 25 of January and now here it is Feb 3 and i still haven't received my 300 dollars back that i have complained about for a week now! Also the day of checkout one of the housekeepers made there self at home and walked on in a 10 am even though check out wasn't until 12 noon! I have been talking to the manager about getting my money back all day today! she was supposed to call me back after it was all handled....around 4 i decided to give her a call back because i hadn't heard anything..... and she had already left for the day and the employee that took her shift knew nothing about the situation!

I never could find the hot tub. The lady at the front desk knew nothing about the off site fitness facility. The wireless network went down several times a day. There were several occasions when I requested a wake up call, and it never happened. I left one morning with $12 in quarters in a coffee cup on the counter, and when I returned that evening, the quarters were gone and the coffee cup was put away in the cabinet.

We loved it! Staff was really friendly and rooms were clean and location was great to everything. Breakfast was good in the mornings pool seemed very clean even though we were not able to use it cause it was to cold on the days we visited. But all in all we really loved our stay and will go back.

Four of us were in Huntsville for a three day business meeting. Three of us had problems with our rooms. Roachs, live and dead in the rooms. Problem with the room door closeing correctly, The pool was closed and dirtly, the whirl pool had been removed. The staff was curtious, but not overly helpful. There was confusion on the room charges/taxes. This property could be better. It needs a face left, and some staff training. If I have to go back to Huntsville again, I'm not sure this property would be my first choice.

This "hotel" was recommended to me by co-workers who had stayed during temporary duty travel. A fellow co-worker and I checked in for a week's stay. Found a HUGE cockroach, called it in and they did come and spray. Same night, had another one staring at me from the closet. It was not clean at ALL and I wouldn't have touched anything in the kitchen so it may as well not have been there. YUK!!!...needless to say, I checked out that day and found a "real" hotel.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Good value and large, convenient rooms! Close to colleges, space center in Huntsville and the Arsenal. The grounds are well kept but a little difficult to find, but was worth looking for!

The room was somewhat clean (the mat in the shower was black) and was not in the best condition. The beds were uncomfortable and I did not get any sleep all weekend. The location of the hotel was less than ideal. I was traveling with a large group of high school students and the location did not seem very safe. The other guests staying there were also loud and spent time in the parking lot making lots of racket late into the night. This was definitely one of the worst places I have ever stayed.

After near ten years of spending 1-2 weeks a month on the road in hotels I can tell you the Guesthouse suites is one of the worst I have ever stayed at. The maid service is abysmal. The room I stayed in was in very poor condition. Internet access was intermitant. I stayed there in June of 2005.

Hospitality, claning and athmosphere were superb. and staff is very close and kind to the customers especially Turkish staff....
