Great bargain-had an large 1 br suite for what another place would charge for a room-the suite was very nicely decorated (not super fancy, but quite nice and practical), very clean and modern, very comfortable beds, unbelievably generous breakfast buffet, very friendly staff-not as fancy as Avenue Plaza, so if you are looking for super fancy romantic getaway for a couple, then Avenue Plaza, (also a nice place) might be more in line-but for a family, or a couple that is in Boro Park for shopping and wants a practical, clean, place and it is important to be in an orthodox jewish neighborhood, then this is THE place.
I have stayed here twice and am returning next week for a third stay. I travel for business and found this hotel accidently but am glad I did. As the previous reviewer stated, it is in the middle of an Orthodox Jesish neighborhood which was a treat to me. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating to me. The area surrounding the hotel is safe-even when I walk back from work at the hospital at midnight or even 1 AM. The rooms are great, and the continental breakfast a delight. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Brooklyn!.
I wasn't sure what to expect...I had a wedding nearby, and was very pleasantly surprised...It was in a very quiet Orthodox Jewish Neighborhood (very quiet and safe)..Our room was all brand new every thing!! They are completing renovations of all rooms. The room was huge and clean. The help friendly and helpful. In the basement is where the breakfast room was..a lot of the old stuff they're getting ready to pitch were down in the hall there, but the dining room was clean, and the breakfast was great (and kosher). It including just from the bakery pastries (whooo!) and rye bread, fresh and constantly replenished Israeli salad, egg salad, cream cheese, etc. The room rate was very reasonable (for NY)...and it was a 25 minute straight ride into Midtown on the D train (which is less then a block away. But please don't tell anyone..it's our little secret.
