A closet for a room...
By M Chancie, 01/05/09
This hotel is quite quaint, to say the least. The rooms are ultra small. I'm going to say less than 400 sqft of space including the small bathroom. At $200/night I expect a little more. Although it is Southern California, there is no central heating, just A/C (I went in January when nights get down to 40 degrees). When we first arrived the woman was very pleasant. The ambience was nice. The place was quiet. And there was a computer station for free browsing with free wi-fi if you need it. There is a free continental breakfast and free parking. The downside for me was when I settled in and realized that the light in the closet doesn't work and the electrical outlet on one side of the room was out (there's only one other in the room and one in the bathroom). When I went to the front desk to inform the lady she basically took an "oh-well so sorry" attitude and that was it. And that I should just use the one in the bathroom. WTH? Nothing more. I decided that I was only staying the night anyway and I'd never return. Nor would I recommend this to friends. For $200+ a night, you can definitely get a better hotel with more room and heating… plus better CS.

Never Again EVER
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/07
My husband and I arrived from a long 4-hour drive so the only thing we wanted was a nice warm shower and comfortable bed. The shower was so small when you turned around your elbows hit the other side. The bed was hard as a rock defiantly no luxury bedding at this place. The rooms are smaller than anything we have ever seen! There is a window/swamp cooler as air conditioning. GIVE ME A BREAK........we are in Beverly Hills. The 2 positives out of the entire 1 night stay were…..service people were nice/accommodating and the location. We just wish the hotel would have been the same.... never again!

horrible service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/06
Bathroom on day one was filthy, so we found the maid in the hall and she told us she would clean it while we were out. When we got back; nothing had been done. We then told the receptionist about the problem and she quickly told us that she would make sure to have them clean it the next day since the maids were gone for the day. The next day came and went and still nothing was done about the filthy mess of our bathroom. We complained again that evening to the same receptionist and we were once again told the same thing--she would have them clean it in the morning. Finally on the last night we came back to find it had been cleaned. Just in time for someone else to enjoy. Horrible service! We asked to be reimbursed at least one night of our stay and were rudely told No! they would do nothing to compensate us for the horrible filth we stayed in for 4 days and 3 nights! Do not stay here!

Very Nasty!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/05
First of all, customer service is horrible!!As we walked in the lobby, the front desk lady, Donna, was very nasty to us. Maybe a little plastic surgery won't gross us out. The rooms were so dirty I refused to stay another night.

Cheap 'n' Dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/05
Upon our arrival, the desk clerk kept us waiting while she finished a chatty personal phone call. Our room was so tiny that the very used furniture barely fit in it. The shower was particularly disgusting, with mildewed and stained walls and floor and just a hole in the floor for a drain. The room, curtains, and bedclothes stank of cigarettes, and this hotel has no non-smoking rooms. The air conditioner worked but was noisy and also stank of cigarettes. Parking was free, and the location is good, but I'd spring for a slightly more expensive place, as this was essentially a glorified smoker's lounge.

It was an okay hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/05
Hotel was okay. Free parking was a definite plus as the parking is not free anywhere else in LA. Good location in a quiet neighborhood near the sunset strip. Staff was helpful in giving directions and booking a tour for us. Rooms are on the small side but ertainly adequate. The free breakfast left a little to be desired but the poolside setting garnered extra points.

No Better Value for the Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/05
The Beverly Terrace has all you need in a small, boutique hotel. It has free parking. It has well-appointed rooms. And they're clean. They have very comfortable beds, cable tv, a refrigerator, endless hot water, a great modern Asian motif, AC, great coffee all day, good continental breakfast, a clean pool, and an extremely helpful, somewhat eclectic staff. Reminds me of Europe.

Quaint, Cozy, Artsy, Small and A Bit Smelly !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/04
THIS PLACE HAD A FRIENDLY, HELPFUL STAFF. THE AMICI RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT. DECOR AND COURTYARD BY THE POOL WERE GREAT. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AND HOUSE KEEPING STAFF WERE GREAT, HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. PRIME LOCATION TO SUNSET BLVD. & SANTA MONICA BLVD & MELROSE. THE ONLY BAD THING AND IT WAS HORRIBLE WAS THE STENCH IN THE STAIRCASE AND HALLWAYS TO OUR ROOM, ROOM 215. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WOULD LVOE TO STAY AGAIN IF THEY GET RID OF THE DEAD BODY OR HORRIBLE BO SCENT IN THE HALLWAYS AND STAIRCASE AREAS. THE LOBBY DIDN'T SMELL NOR DID THE COURTYARD.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
