great hotel, great service

Good points: Good location for touring, and easy to get to once we’d got the hang of the roads; acres of free car parking; spacious, comfortable and attractive public areas; good-sized, clean and comfortable bedroom with effective airconditioning; pleasant, friendly, efficient and helpful staff in all departments of the hotel; good food, fairly-priced (we’d recommend especially the fish dishes at dinner) Let down by: Absence of airconditioning in corridors and elevators. We stayed here for a few nights. There was a rude staff member so we complained and got a free night on our last night. Otherwise, it was perfect. Great location for shopping! I enjoyed the swimming pool/hot tub. I would stay here again.

The best hotel near the Portland Jetport

The Marriott in South Portland has it all: good service, elegant furnishings and linens; a great restaurant -- and 24-hour transportation to & from the airport. If you need a place to stay when you are travelling from Portland this is the place!

Good deal with specials

We got a weekend $99 deal, so we feel like we really got our money's worth. We didn't utilize the pool or sauna, but a lot of families took advantage and looked very happy.
