Great Hotel

When I lived in Pasadena, we had several of our friends come in to town and stay at the Westin. The service was always fantastic, as are the rooms. While it can be a little bit pricey, it's certainly worth it, and within walking distance of the main strip in Old Town Pasadena - tons of restaurants, shops, and movie theaters.

We had a great trip

i liked everything, the service was great the atmospher was wonderful. there was plenty to do within walking distance which made it very nice. the hotel is beautiful and I cant say there was anything I didnt like about the Westin.

Stayed there several times now and no complaints on the rooms. But I haven't interacted with the staff much, so I won't give it a rating.

A confortable hotel. No frills. Fair value. Service is correct and amicable. Gym and pool are small but ok. Nice hotel for travellers but I wouldn´t recommend it for families. Have the Belgin waffle for breakfast it´s excelent.

Great Hotel, in Great Area

If you're ever in Old Town Pasadena, and want to nest yourself down in a nice hotel, while being near to all the hot spots in the city, look no further. This hotel features all the amenities that you would expect from Westin Hotels. There is a pool and gym conveniently located in the hotel and a CPK next door. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. (Even the valet guys are nice!) Avg walking time to all the shopping areas is about 5 minutes or less. So forget the car on that warm summer night and walk!

Not such a great experience!

I have stayed at many Westin hotels in the past and have always enjoyed them. The Pasadena Westin, however, was not worth the $165+ a night. When I checked in, I was placed in a room that had not yet been cleaned - I walked in to find towels on the floor, the bed unmade, trash in the trashcans, and dirty cups in the sink. Although I was moved to a different room, I was very disappointed. The staff was friendly and accomodating, but the rooms (both the dirty one AND the clean one) are in need of some color - they're dark and depressing. Needless to say, I will continue to stay at Westin hotels, just not the Pasadena one.

A slice of heaven on earth

What reallys stands out is the personal attention you receive at the Westin Pasadena. The warm and friendly atmosphere starts from the moment you approach the entrance of this lovely hotel festooned with flowers, ambient lighting, and soothing fountains. A memorable experience everytime you stay there.

Nice Westin in the LA Area

The recent renovations have made this into a very nice hotel. The modern rooms have the Heavenly Bed and the Heavenly Bath. Some of the new rooms have window seats, which reduces floor space. Encountered one rude staff member, but overall the staff have been very accommodating and nice. This is one of the nicest hotels in Pasadena. Close enough to Old Town and the theatre district, but far enough removed that is not too busy or noisy. Overall, a very nice hotel in a great town.

It's seen better days

The grand lobby space sets high expectations, but the rooms have a tired, 1980s feel that disappoints. My room had an elaborate spa tub, but it didn't work, and the touted wireless web service is spotty. Worse, despite the Old Town location they seem to be hard enough up for guests that they book the dreaded high school senior trip circuit. Nothing worse than having some kid pull the fire alarm at 11pm, as you're sitting in your Westin bathrobe trying to finish a presentation for work the next morning. Inexplicably, there aren't many decent hotel options in Old Town and this may be one of the better choices. But don't set your expectations too high. This place needs a major overhaul.
