Disgusting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/06
One hour to get into Bangkok, smelly rooms, terrible service (unless you speak Thai or German) and just in a BAD neighborhood. On the up, it is close to the water ferry and it is the fastest way to get to the city (about 45-55 minutes). TRUST me, do NOT stay here!!

A True Taste Of Bangkok
By Retired Veteran, 10/18/07
When I'm in Bangkok either before or after heading up country to northeastern Thailand or into Laos I stay at the Royal River Hotel. Conviently away from the congestion, smog and noise within the heartbeat of the city, yet easy convient travel via water taxi to anywhere within the heart of the city. The food, service and hospitality are as good as anywhere in the city. You can pay more elsewhere and spend most of your time with foreign tourist on their first trip or you can relax, kickback and enjoy your stay at a wonderful hotel and enjoy the boat rides.' For me; I'll take the Royal River and I'm headed back again in 3 months.

Royal River Of Kings Hotel
By Magick, 3/27/06
This hotel was very nice. It had wireless internet access and a ground floor restaurant that was open 24/hrs. This made it especially convenient for me when I came into Bangkok at 11 at night. I had a deluxe suite with english cable chanels such as MTV and HBO. Room service was prompt and also had my own wetbar stocked with Hennesy, Tangerray and really smooth Thai Whiskey. Staff bent over backwards to please me.

Great hotel
By DONELL, 1/17/06
I stayed in this hotel back in June of 2004; this is a 3 star hotel and at the time iw as there it was only 29 USD per night. There is a real nice pub next door that plays live music and the food is great. The hotel has a taxi boat that will take you to China Town for shopping and there is also a tour/dinner boat. The staff is awesome and the laundry service is unlike anything you have ever seen. The only thing I would suggest is don't use the hotel taxi (very expensive). When you leave the main lobby, walk down to the lower level of the street and you will see several street taxis on standby. I found out the hard way.
