Our Flower Show Excursions
By ,
For over 10 years, we've stayed here every year when we go to the Flower Show. The hotel is charming, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is fun, especially "make your own Belgium waffles". Also, the rates are reasonable. The location is convenient to spending the next day seeing the sights.

best western

The place was really nice. The room was gorgeous. I stayed in a king room on the first floor. Parking was tough being 1 1/2 blocks away.

Exceptional service!
By ,
We came to Philly to attend our son's graduation at Villanova. Our youngest son had decided to come with us at the last minute and the room we had was for only one queen size bed. The staff was very helpful in getting us a cot for the night considering that we arrived at 12 midnight because our flight was delayed for 3 hours. They worked on finding us a bigger room the next day, which we were really greatful for! The staff was very friendly and helpful with making our stay an enjoyable one! This hotel is convenient to all of the historical attractions which was a plus. This was a great place to stay and we would stay here again!

I love the area of this hotel
By ,
This service of this hotel is great. It's one of the smaller Best Western. More like a Bed and Breakfast. But the staff at the hotel are the best any and everything you want direction, places to eat, things to do they're one it and can help you every sit of the way. I will STAY at this Hotel anytime I have to stay in the downtown Area.

Excellent service, friendly, charming
By ,
I really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western, where I decided to stay for the two nights I was in Philly. Before picking Best Western, I spent time reviewing other hotel options. As others have reported, this hotel is well maintained, clean. The hotel room wasn't available until 3 pm on New Years day because they were full the night before, so I was able to store my things safely and then go about town. Staff were pretty decent--but no one was on par with Chris--who is exceptional. He provided reliable referrals for meals, helped me to sort out transportation (even printed out rail/subway maps and schedules), and overall provided superior hospitable service that was far better than any other hotel experience I have had. In Philly, I found some people had an "I don't care attitude"--so it was very nice to return to the hotel where staff did pay attention to providing respectful assistance and making you feel welcomed. The hotel is near main attractions (visitors center), 50 or so restaurants, etc. It was a great location, since I didn't have a car. I will definitely return.

We loved our stay here!
By ,
This charming hotel surpassed my expectations. The location was perfect... a minute's walk from restaurants and all the historic sites, and the room was perfect for a family of 4... clean, beautifully decorated, with two queen beds. A filling breakfast was included, which featured "make your own" waffles that my kids and I loved. The best part was the knowlegeable and friendly staff. Chris, at the front desk, was a wealth of information and really made us feel welcome. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in historic Philadelphia.

Great location with a little class
By ,
I stayed here with my family on a two night stay to see some of the historic sights and experience a really good Philly steak sandwich. Everything that we saw was within walking distance. We were able to park our car conveniently around the corner at a parking garage for $18 every 24 hrs. For the two nights the parking came to $36. The hotel staff was polite and helpful and our room was clean and welcoming. We did have a toilet that didn't cooperate with us well and had to have maintenance figure it out. The hotel offers a nice continental breakfast that helped us start out the day nicely. I wasn't sure why a homeless man was eating breakfast next to us each morning and I wasn't sure why I saw him coming and going a number of times during our stay. I didn't expect this at this type of hotel and I didn't like to have to share these moments with my family. Overall it was a nice stay that I would recommend, but beware of the homeless guy (The guy with a bangage on his face and grumbling some sort of comments).

Charming Little Gem
By ,
Location ideal for seeing historic Philly. Although we arrived too early to get into our room, staff stored our luggage. We chose from a plethora of fine dining within a very short walk. Independence Hall & Liberty Bell a few blocks away. Constitution Museum well worth seeing. We never needed to move the car from the garage. Hotel clean & charming. Very nice breakfast included. We're already planning a future trip & will definitely stay here again.
