Econo Lodge Hays, Hays

Stayed there in June of 08. Left before my trip was over to stay at another place. The room was filthy, and the pool was even worse. I made my reservations over the phone, and asked for a bed and a pool. What I got was a germ pad and a sess pool! There was slim on all sides of the pool. There was still a garden hose floating in the pool, which was also covered in slim! It was the worst motel visit I have ever had!

I was only there for one night, traveling through, room wasn't clean, outside door wouldn't unlock. ***My main complaint was I left a down-feather pillow in the room when I check out at 6:15 am, had to use my own their pillows are so thin, I realized within half an hour of check out I had left it in the room. I called the front desk and described the type of pillow and pillow case, I was told they found it and would mail it back to me. Two weeks later I called looking for my pillow and was told no one found it! After I complaind and said I had already been told they did indeed have it, I received a call back saying they did have my pillow and would mail it out. Two more weeks went by and no pillow. I make another call and was told it would go out, that my complaint had been passed on to the owner. A week later when I opened the box I find a thin, very soiled, lumpy FOAM pillow inside my pillow case and not my DOWN pillow. I called the owner and was told that WAS my pillow and too bad, she wouldn't check with housekeeping to see who may have taken my pillow and replaced it with the foam. I hope someone enjoys my pillow!
