If you want to be robbed..., take a chance
Maybe we were unlucky, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone to spend his or her holidays. The hotel was upside down, as it was under reform, from the very small rooms you could enjoy poor views of awful streets and the exciting noise of the train every 30 minutes or less (the railway crosses just besides the hotel)
The parking facilities are also excellent, if you are fortunate enough to find the hotel (no one seemed to know about it in town), you’ll have to unload your luggage parked in the middle of an extremely busy street (I would say a road), risking your live or a parking fine at the least.
But the best of all, you risk to be ROBBED as we were. We left our rooms closed in the morning and went to Sintra for the day, when we came back in the afternoon, one of the rooms was not key-closed and we had been robbed two brand-new mobile-phones. The hotel took no responsibility and neither the staff nor the manager showed any interest in helping us. I could not imagine THAT could happen in any decent hotel, but I will think twice in leaving anything valuable in the rooms.
Enjoy your holidays! (Better somewhere else)
