The room might have been "cleaned" before we arrived, but it still stank like no ammonia/soap had been used. Our reservation was for 4 adults in 1 room, but there were not enough towels for 4. The buildings, rooms, bathrooms and parking lots are in need of repair! After spending 1 night of our 2-night reservation, I asked for leniency on cancelling my reservation; but the manager insisted on clinging to the 2-day cancellation notice. The manager would not give us any of our money back, even after telling him we were leaving early. It's an okay place, if you're into roughing it! But it definitely was not worth the price! UNTIL THEY CLEAN UP AND MAKE REPAIRS, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I made a reservation for three rooms for a week for my construction crew. When they arrived the rate was not honored because of a seafood festival and we were only allowed to pay by the night. There were no rooms anywhere else due to a seafood festival and we were stuck staying and paying their rates which steadily climbed all week until our $850 motel budget ended up being over $1800!! On Satuday they moved the boys out of their rooms into a little cottage and it was full of roaches and was NASTY. The maids did not clean the rooms until after 4 to 5 pm and we had to go to Walmart and buy our own towels and washclothes. When they moved into the cottage we had to buy blankets. When I called the front desk and complained about the rates, I was screamed at and told, "you will pay it because there are no rooms anywhere else and rates are subject to change without notice". RIP OFF!!! This motel is nasty, full of bugs and the people are dishonest. They are rude, do not clean and do not provide adequate anything. I have never been treated by anyone at a motel the way this man talked to me and treated me and if it wasn't for the festival, we would have left the first day but we had a job today and needed accommodations. I will not give it any stars because there is no service, it is not clean, and when you pay $1800 a week you expect towels, washcloths and blankets on the beds. We had to buy bug spray to fumigate so we could sleep and the bugs no crawl on us in our sleep. On Friday we were trying to find another motel and could not and the owner knew that and our motel rate tripled and when we complained he laughed and told us we would pay "whatever" he said. He waited until 10 minutes to 11:00 o'clock which is checkout to let us renew the rooms and that is when he gave us the outrageous rate. I told the crew to check out and I would find them something in Vero Beach, but the front desk clerk that was so rude said if they couldn't be "off the premises" by 11:00 o'clock he was going to charge our credit card anyway. STAY AWAY, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! I am filing a complaint with the BBB!! The only reason I gave it one star is because I had to to post this review. When you check into a motel you want to be made to feel welcome - I was screamed at, not talked to, but screamed at. This motel should be shut down.

I would like to say that while I have not had any issues with bugs, I am very dissatisfied with the people who are running this place at the moment. I think that it is absurd with some of the things they do or say. I felt so uncomfortable. This is my experience and I can only speak for me, but it looks like others are speaking out as well. I don't want to come across as vindictive but I believe anyone should know before they ever consider going there.

NEW MANAGEMENT AS of September 2010. There are roaches, bed bugs and I even saw a rat! The new management is very rude and thinks that they can get double for the room than what it is worth. Please do not stay here and go somewhere else!!

i have to say this place has horrible managment! Have been here many times befor and always, i have had the nicest stay, from the time i walked in the door till i left i was always welcomed with a smile. Never have i had to ask for room service as it was always given. well lets just say that this time around will be my last, i've been to many places and never was i treated the way i had been here. The "man" in the office charged me for a room that i had stayed in befor twice what i have ever payed prior to this and when i said something he jumped down my throat and told me also that room service was not included any more. if i hadn't been so tired i would have left and gone down to best western, would have been cheaper, i know cause thats what i did very next morning and i would recomend everyone else do the same!

Stayed for one night, worth it. Very reasonable rate, old but well maintained rooms, loved all you can eat fish at next door restaurant.

I just stayed here recently and I was pleased. Yes, it is an old property yet the property is well maintained with clean rooms and swimming pool. I felt safe and there was a restaurant on site with delicious food so I didn't need to leave the property much. The service was very good and dependable.

watch out late at night arriving into town they balence their town budget arresting 1:00AM motorists for DUI

i have stayed in this motel all the times i have vivited the place for my bussiness trips and for family vacations. it is just great.
