Overdue Wedding Anniversary
By Vanda, 9/4/11
As we were traveling in Florida we were looking for hotels to stay at on the beach, I noticed a sign as we passed by the Caymen Hotel Special rates $50.00 a night, we made a U turn , that was very good rates for us. we ask to see the one room efficencey , the room was large , 2 beds, a kitchens even pots and pans, and eating utensils, The room was clean, not modernized but looked very comfy. we rented the room for 3 days. The best 3 days we had, the ocean right out your back door, beautiful beaches, staff very nice, we were given snow bird information and was told they have many who come for the winter months, they provide different activities for the ones who are using a room for 3 or more months. We are looking forward to going down this winter for 4 months and we booked the same room as we had before. It is away from the city life and traffic, and going to the stores and restaurants is only 5 miles away. It has all you want for vacation, beaches sand surf..solitude....We are counting the days. As for the bugs they are called Pallmento bugs in Florida. and we had them in our yard in Clearwater in a mobile home we owned, they are just part of Florida like flies or ants.

Weekend trip
By Jason, 7/7/08
Service less tan desired, to obtain towels you had to go down the one elevator of two that was working, to the office so the manager could get them for you, then you walk back to the elevator and wait for almost ten minutes for it to come back to the 1st floor. The ice machine is on the second floor and it doesn't work properly. We stayed 4 days and were able to get ice only one time in those 4 days. We had to walk down 2 blocks to get ice from the store at $2.00 a bag. The room wasn't bad the room was clean. We rented the efficiency that has 3 double beds, small kitchen, and a bathroom. Beds were clean and comfortable, pillows were fluffy, although there was no alarm clock in the room. If you are on a serious budget this hotel is for you. It does have a nice pool, hot tub and a kiddie pool. It also has an upstairs sunning deck, and poolside bar and grill.

Good gone bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/26/08
For years we had stayed at the Sea Witch and when visiting Panama City Beach in 2007 I made reservations. When I arrived I was surprised to see that it was schedled to be torn down and replaced by a condo. The exterior was fairly decent so I checked in to find that the room should have been condemned. I was told that there could be no refund so we tried to "stick it our". Could on take it for three days. We left and I stopped payment on my Am Express card. We finally negotiated a settlement and I am so sad to see such a grand motel go down the tubes. It should be shut down. and condemned by the health department.

BEACH FRIENDLY
By lauren, 7/10/07
This place was located perfectly on the beach. Spectacular views. The place was fairly clean, but the rooms are dated. The staff was great!! Housekeepers were friendly and prompt to our needs. To some of the other comments about the bugs, the only bugs we saw were outside of the rooms, what do expect, this is Florida. We had a great time we came for the fun, sun and gulf and we got plenty of it. We have been coming here for about 7 years now and will continue.

Good Place
By Owlbuffet, 4/26/07
I received a good deal on the price. My room was large and clean. The kitchette was a plus. Overlooking the Gulf with patio was great. I also appreciated the convenience store across the street. I will stay here again.

Hope it stays for years to come.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
It was very family friendly. It was right on the beach and we were able to cook out and enjoy the view!! It was clean & friendly. More people I would think would want this instead of the high rise condos!!!

We had a great weekend here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
This is not a new motel, but the rooms were clean and large with a nice efficiency kitchen. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The only drawback was no fast-access internet.

this place is nasty, it dirty, unclean, and it has roaches, and it is way over priced, 80 dollar a night ha, they charge more like 150 a night, but beware no refunds and you will have roaches.
