Mixed bag
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/16/11
I rented two rooms at the Ramada. One room was a good value - comfortable beds, good control of heating/cooling and bathroom small but satisfactory. The second room was missing the shower curtain and toilet did not flush ! Still trying to figure out how housekeeping could not notice these two items. In the morning the manager found a shower curtain. For the toilet to work had to remove the tank cover and pull the chain. The free breakfast was very basic and the tables in the dinning area could have been wiped down. Because of the lack of consistency for basic functions I would not stay there again.

YOU CANT BEAT THIS ONE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/09
we had reserved 2 adjoining rooms with double beds. upon arrival which was quite late, we found that each room had a kingsize bed but no double beds. temprature outside was in the 80's the a/c in one of the rooms were not working. called front desk and was told it takes time to cool down. the place never cooled down, and my kids couldn't fall asleep. Second room had cockroaches (even one is too much) in the bathroom. Was too exausted to make any changes at midnight. we took the cusions from the sofabed (one room was broken) and put the kids to sleep on it. were given a third room on a different floor to make up for lack of bed space, but nothing beats the broken a/c room was sweltering all night. upon check out i notofied the attendant at the desk, who took note but said he was unable to do anything as booking was made through HOTELS.COM. I called hotels.com and was given the runarounds. finnaly they told me they were unable to do anything. they gave me the name of the hotel manager to contact, the manager is the only person able to make decisions. I HAVE NOT YET REACHED THE MANAGER.

I hated it!
By Kimberly, 9/21/08
There were ants in the bedding, yellow jackets nesting in the wall outside near the window. The carpet was so dirty and moldy that my socks turned black going from the bed to the door, the sink drained too slowly and would overflow if i tried to wash my face. I will not even try to describe the smell of the room. Then to top every thing off they charge the room to the wrong credit card and then proceeded to 3 times to charge and 2 times credit back the charges to the wrong card and 1 charge to and 1 credit back to the right credit card, so now I am waiting for the credit back to the wrong credit card and a charge to the right credit card!!!! I will never stay in a ramada any where and will make double sure to write reviews/ tell everyone I encounter traveling that any motel would be a better stay!!!!!!

okay for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/08
My company is too cheap to pay for the hotels downtown, so this is where I end up. I've stayed here many times, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The first time I stayed there, I was shocked to find outside entrances to the rooms (I can't imagine staying there when it's 10 degress outside), not your typical Holiday Inn Express. I'm a woman traveling alone on business, and at first I considered going to another hotel. Luckily I arrived early in the day and asked them to me to a room closer to the office, so I could park close to my room, and they accommodated the request. The rooms are very dated but clean. I think the staff works very hard to make the place look nice, given it's an old motel. What puzzles me, is that there's a sign across the street for the future home of the Holiday Inn Express, been there for 2 years I think. I was told it would be open in the spring of 2007, but when I was there in August, ground hadn't even been broken for it.

Converted One Night Stand Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/05
What a dump! I realy didn't do my research on this one. I was expecting the new express similar in design with the Hampton Inn. Nope! It looks like the whore motel next door with a little paint and landscaping. You even have to go outside your room, half way down the complex, and around the bldg just to get to the ice machine. I wonder what they do when it's 10 below zero? And the add says they speak all different languages - even Turkish. Unfortunately though, the turkish interpreter is the toilet cleaning guy from the housekeeping staff. God knows who else you need to go to if you need to a Chinese interpreter. The staff was also stuck up to say the least. Young preppy girls more involved with their nail appointments and the fact that you absolutely can't check in until its check-in time. By the way, don't bother asking them directions - they only know how to get from home to work.... typical. While I was sitting in the lobby waiting to "check-in", they were freely reading the incomming faxes and joking openly about the contents. I checked in and drove around the bldg to get to my room - an exterior room entrance (typical whore motel design). I got to my "smoking" room and immediately noticed an odor (now I've been smoking for more years than I care to remember so I know the smell of ciggarettes, cigars, ect.). This unique smell mystified me. I can say that the room appeared to be clean except for the flys I noticed when I sat down to write this review. Finally, they take no responsibility for your vehicle during your stay. I was glad I had a rental. This just means that they are too cheap to provide adequate security 24/7. Do yourself a favor. Stay at the Hampton Inn just a few hundred yards north. You'll be glad you did.
