okay for the money

My company is too cheap to pay for the hotels downtown, so this is where I end up. I've stayed here many times, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The first time I stayed there, I was shocked to find outside entrances to the rooms (I can't imagine staying there when it's 10 degress outside), not your typical Holiday Inn Express. I'm a woman traveling alone on business, and at first I considered going to another hotel. Luckily I arrived early in the day and asked them to me to a room closer to the office, so I could park close to my room, and they accommodated the request. The rooms are very dated but clean. I think the staff works very hard to make the place look nice, given it's an old motel. What puzzles me, is that there's a sign across the street for the future home of the Holiday Inn Express, been there for 2 years I think. I was told it would be open in the spring of 2007, but when I was there in August, ground hadn't even been broken for it.
