Best Value Inn-San Antonio, San Antonio

We had a problem with the lock on the door, the manager himself fixed it within an hour. I dropped my car keys down the elevator shaft, and he offered to call a tech out at one am on a holiday weekend. The room is kind of small, and it is not a perfect part of town, but it is close to Fort Sam Houston. What the room lacked in accomodations, it definately made up for in friendly and extremely attentive service. Also, it is within walking distance of one of the best Korean restaurants in San Antonio, the Kiku Gardens. It is an inexpensive room, so yeah, there were some shady characters around at night. But the staff was great, and for the price, it was an amazing value. I came down on short notice, and the staff could not have been nicer. Some others who have left reviews seem to be expecting five star accomodations at a half star price. If you want perfect, go stay on the RiverWalk.

Lack of customer service, the room was run down, no door knob on bathroom door, bathroom light didn't work, didn't really feel safe there at all, to many shady characters hanging around in lobby. poor housekeeping, just a very bad experience. please look elsewhere! San Antonio you can do better,knock it down,before a customer gets hurt.
