Oakridge Motor Inn, Schulenburg

We had reservations, during hurricane evacuation. When we arrived the manager, Charles gave us a room key, and then we were told the room was already taken. He then said the one room left was also reserved... but we were already there? After almost an hour standing outside arguing with the man, he finally agreed to give us the remaining room. (After attempting to call the other person, only to ring MY cell phone!). The room itself was totally dirty, unsanitary, so much so we slept in our clothes. Then, to top it off, in the morning another guest was asking about the hurricane policy, sales or hotel tax, and Charles shouted at the man that he would call the police. Had we not had our pets with us, it would have been better to sleep in the car.
