Gulfstream Condominiums, Corpus Christi

My family and I travel a lot. Living close to Corpus Christi, which is our nearest beach, we stay in Condos often. However, the one we normally rent was all booked up so being late in the evening we had no choice but to rent at Gulfstream. My opinion of Gulfstream was negative from the getgo. Their rates are obsurd at $200.00 a night in the month of October. I don't think so!! Then, the room that was assigned to me was a complete disaster which was not supposed to be rented (due to work being done to it)!! Also, they seem to be extremely picky about their condos, there are signs all over the room about not being able to control the air conditioning unit, to be careful how you open up the blinds to if you take the bath and pool towels they will be charged to your credit card!! Come on I go on vacation, to relax and have a good time not be accused of stealing towels or if a steak knife is missing. I did not feel comfortable thinking that if something broke or went wrong it was going to be charged to my credit card!! Also, everything was labeled not to be removed from the room we were staying in. (How tacky is that!!) The furniture was something that looked like I went back in time to the 80's, my husband and I had to actually move the nighttable and put the two beds together to make it one big bed!! Never again.

well built,GREAT VIEW To walk on this beach is to be in love all over again. We came to the Gulfstream in 1988 and we have been back 4 times since.

My family has been going to the Gulf Stream for almost 30 years... We have been alot of places but never have we ever found any place to compare with Gulf Stream. Everyone goes goes way out of their way on service. We have never stayed in a bad room...We always get the gulf view as it is worth the little extra you pay. My children has grown up coming to Gulf Stream and now we take our grandchildren. It is a SUPERIOR place to vacation. We HIGHLY recommend going here...you won't be sorry! Love the location of the property!! This was our 2nd trip and for the $$$ it is a great value. The room we were in was not "rehabbed" but it was in a fantastic location. With 4 little girls along for the trip...the close proximity to the beach was a plus. The pool is extremely child friendly - wading pool and large shallow area at big pool. Only negative is the delay in checking in! Both times we had to wait approx. 1 hour past check in time. Bad thing when you have groceries in the car and expect to check in on time.

We have been going to Gulfstream occasionaly for twenty years. It is apparent that they have made a great effort to maintain a wonderful layout and resort for many years. The management does an outstanding job. We stayed in No. 118. The owner of the apartment has let the place go downhill. The place looks like it was furnished with garage sale furniture. The bed was horrible. The conditions are cheap. My advice if you choose to stay here is to call for recommendations. Evaluate your reservations. Each apartment seems to be furnished by the owners. We brought some people to the beach and we were ashamed with the accomendations, They lost our business

Beach was full of seaweed and smelled bad. We probably will come again but not the "seaweed time" of year. We had to keep the kids in the pool rather than them enjoying the beach and water. The room was nice and clean and the staff was excellant. Good vacation spot for the money. Beach rating - :( .

This place is a diamond in the raw. Wonderful corner unit with a full view of the ocean. Protected pool area kept us out of the wind on cooler days. A real get-away from the crowd type of place! Would highly recommend to those looking for a great weeks respit.

We felt safe because of the location, the entrance only by key/card, and security staff 24/7. You're literally RIGHT ON THE EDGE OF THE BEACH. LOVED the high boardwalk for a mile or more. Not overcrowded with people and cars. Rooms and areas outside were spotless, staff were helpful,and the huge pool was awesome. But, they should supply captains chairs for the balconies.

We love the clean, nicely decorated condos at the Gulfstream. We've been there twice already, with and without family and friends, and we'll be headed there again next August for our 30th year wedding anniversary celebration.

I am always impressed with Gulfstream; we have visited other beaches in Florida and California, but none seem to compare. The beach is regularly cleaned, and monitored for family fun. Gulfsteam is beautifully maintained with excellent service to provide for the ultimate vacation experience.
