Molloy Gulf Motel, Treasure Island

I stayed here in July 2007. Very nice people! The motel is alittle old fashioned, but if you are looking for the best value you for your dollar this is the place to go. Right on the beach! Great views! Nice pool! It's definitely a quiet location! Lounge chairs are available for the guests. You are not bothered by staff, but are there if you need them. They are also very helpful! I stayed in a 1 bedroom apt. Plenty of room, bathroom a little on the smaller side, but overall a great room. If you are looking for some ritzy hotel this is not the place for you! I am planning a vacation this June to Treasure Island and definitely plan on booking another stay at the Molloy for my family and I!!

FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE BEEN STAYING AT THIS MOTEL FOR 20YEARS/PLUS. WE USUALLY GO IN JUNE AND SEE AND MEET PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR. THIS IS GOOD, BECAUSE WE HAVE FRIENDS AND GOOD RELATIONSHIPS BY SPENDING HOLIDAY WITH THEM EACH YEAR TIME AFTER TIME!!!THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SPECIAL/ MEETING NEW FRIENDS AND SEEING OLD FRIENDS AGAIN YEAR AFTER YEAR!! IT'S LIKE A BIG FAMILY REUNION EXCEPT WITH FREINDS INSTEAD OF FAMILY! WE STAY OUTSIDE THE WHOLE TIME!!! READING, PLAYING CARDS, SWIMMING, BEACH GAMES ETC... THE ROOMS ARE OLD BUT WHO CARES AS LONG AS THEY ARE CLEAN. MY SON AND HUSBAND LOVE TO FISH, SO WE BRING OUR RODS AND CATCH TONS OF FISH ACROSS THE STREET AT THE BAY!!!

we have been going to molloys every year for the past 12 years,its a very relaxing holiday. the staff leave you alone, but are on hand if you need them.the onwers are very relaxed. the molloys is in a great location, and i have recommended to others members of my family, and friends

We just returned from the malloy. It was aour first time staying in a small mom and pop place, and we loved it. No waits for elevators, long walks to pool ect.. Rooms were very clean and large. 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 6. They dont charge xtra per person the way most of the owner operated places do. 79.00 for a 1 bedroom, great value, not as long of a walk to the beach as the Bilmar, Thunderbird ect... We will be back!!

We've been staying at the Molloy the last 2 years for our yearly spring trip to Florida and its become a wonderful family tradition. Its perfect old school Florida. The other residents typically stay for a couple of months at a pop, you can leave your doors open and folks remember you from year to year. An absolutely perfect week or 10 away from northern winters. Hope they stick around til we can retire. If they do, I know where I'll be spending my winters...

The location and beach are nice, but the behavior of other guests ruined our stay. Domestic loud argument from back of cottage. Loud moron on cell phone from front.

my family has gone here every year for over 20 years and now I take my kids. Owners are awesome people and you can't get a better view or value!!

Pro: Great location-right on the beach. Desk service was pleasant. Good value for beach location. Con: Rooms were old & dark. Water fixtures leaked in bathroom making using sink a challenge before the floor flooded. A/C quit on last night. Outside was OK, but inside needs refurbishing. Blinds worn & wouldn't shut all the way. Replacement long overdue.

-it's a nice little motel, just beside the wonderful white beach ! -just 45 minutes from tampa airport, 1 1/2 hour from orlando ! -perfect for families

great people Kim Larry etc one of the last mom and pop business left in treasure island fl just watch it become your favorite place to stay...
