Luxury hotel that acts like a budget hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
I stayed for one night, and was surprised at the number of maintenance issues with the room. Among the issues encountered, the tub drained very SLOW, lamps were missing light bulbs, we were missing linens, what is that all about? I informed the manager upon checkout and he seemed only slightly concerned. On a positive note, it was clean.

Absolutely Horrible!
By Pumpkin, 03/28/09
I first picked it because it was secluded, and the rate were good for the Valentine's Day weekend. We booked through hotels.com, and we requested a king room. My husband is 6'8, and a full bed doesn't accommodate him well. We were checked in by a very rude employee. Got up to our room in the new building, and were greeted by two full beds. We went back to the lobby, and were informed that there were no king rooms available, and that our request was just that - a request. They made no attempts to try and rectify the situation. I spent 3 hours one the phone with hotels.com, and got nowhere but hung up on. The hotel manager finally put a $50 credit on our room, which prompted us to stay. We had a very expensive breakfast, and I used the rest of the credit for a $30 manicure. They swiped my credit card when I checked in, but I only expected to get a charge of what the room credit didn't cover. My card was charged the full $30 for the manicure, and when I called, I was told I should have been charged $2.15. It's been a month and I still haven't been credited. Do not bother going to this hotel. It's a waste.

Nice room but BAD SERVICE
By Viv, 03/19/09
We wanted a weekend getaway and found this place to be a great price for what seemed to be a 5 star. From the begining it was obvious that the guests that were staying in the high-rise portion of the hotel were treated better than guests that stayed in the resort style rooms... The room was wonderful, beautiful and very comfortable, however, we had soooo many issues with the customer service. Just to name a few, we were locked out of our room because our keys didn't work and we were told we shouldn't put the key card next to any phones or credit cards... it took almost 30 minutes for someone to come and open the door, and another 15 minutes for them to bring us a new key, which is what the front desk rep should have done in the begining but acted as if we were bothering her... Also, the door wasn't too private because you can hear everything going on outside including workers yelling across the hall at each other at 5 in the morning... The room was nice looking but everything else was awful and we'll never stay there again and suggest no one else to go there...

Absolutely awful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/08
We visted here a couple of weeks ago for a convention, and it was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. To start off, the room was moldy, and very unclean. Just a note to everyone, to shower does not drain. After just one shower, maitnence had to be called to come fix the drain, and replace the shower curtain, because there was so much mildew on it. The floor around the air conditioner was always wet, because of constant leaks. The maid service was also very bad. The first morning a tip was left for the maid. Then later that afternoon I returned to find that my money was gone, and absolutly no changes had been made to the room. The bed was not made, there were no new towels, nothing! After a quick call to the front desk, i was assured that this would not happen again. I can assure you that I will never stay here again, nor would i recommend this "resort" to anyone else.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/08
Upon arrvial I was shocked! online the pics of hotel was great... When I arrived it was a different story. However we checked and and got our room and the room was impressive. Come to find out the other side of the hotel looked the way it did was bc of the upgrading that their doing. The stay was wonderful. The beds and room were cleaned thoroughly. I would diffinely stay again! The live music/drinks by the pool was the perfect idea!

Thank God it's our last year
By Ronda, 05/12/08
We have stayed here every year for about 5 years with a convention. It took 3 calls to try to get the reservation correct. Upon check in still wrong. Keys did not work(3 of them) Wrong room when we got to the 14th floor with luggage. At least the security guy helped by calling front desk and getting us into one room to wait. Room smelled horrible, leak in room(carpet completely wet in area) They even came up and checked it, did absolutely nothing about it!!!!Grout in bathroom horrible. Property is pretty but room is like a motel. Stayed here lot when it was the Sheraton they did a much better job with the property.

Noise and disruption
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/14/08
Our stay from Fri. to Sun. was a disapointment on Sat. night. We stayed on the 17th floor which was supposed to be a higher end floor. But on Sat. night, we were disrupted starting at 9:15p.m. by loud shouting which continued until 10:45p.m. We called the front dest to report this, and asked them to get security up ther ASAP! Well 20min. later the noise got worse & still no security! I asked to speak to the night manager, & someone got on the phone stating she was. Well, no security came up! we went down to the front desk & I asked for the night manager & asked her what about the security? She had no idea what I was talking about & stated she did not speak to me! Well that's it! Someone posed as the manager and did nothing about the call. She finally got security to go up & found out that the lounge on the 17th floor was booked by a fraternity which took over the lounge and had over 150 people smoking drinking and making such a noise that disrupted everyone on that floor. The security took 20 min. to get everyone out of there & the guy who was in charge of the frat said he blaimed the hotel for allowing them to party on that floor and the hotel should be held responsible for it! I agree in a way with him it was the hotel's responsibility and the night was a complete mess with cigar smoke coming into the non-smoking rooms. Except for the location, I don't think we wil;l come back to this hotel again. It seems that the front desk doesn't do it's job well enough.

Kicked Out
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/08
I made reservations through hotels.com a MONTH in advance. When we showed up to check in we were told that we had been moved to another hotel. No calls were made, no emails sent, no contact whatsoever. I even called 2 days before to confirm my reservation and was never informed of the change. The only lame excuse the manager could muster was that they were overbooked and elected to move us to another hotel. The hotel they sent us to happened to be 7 miles further away from where we needed to be. We never received an apology or anything for the inconvnience. The staff was very rude and had an " I don't care" attitude. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.
