Park Motor Inn, Elizabethtown

After staying here many times I decided to write this review. We have family in the area and visit them 5-6 times a year always staying at the Park Motor Inn because we know it will be clean and quiet. There is a nice restaurant, The Deer's Head across the street and a wonderful breakfast and lunch family restaurant within walking distance down the street, and a Stewart's right next door for ice cream and the morning paper. The owner is a bit abrupt at times, but that can be overlooked because of the clean and tidy condition of the motel rooms. Reasonable rates.

Comfortable and spacious room, wireless internet. Quiet surroundings. Attentive owners. Highly recommend.

For a roadside simple motel, I give this place total 4 thumbs up. The motel is impecablilty clean and the bed sheets are crisp, clean and the matteress is as good as the best hotels I have stayed in around the world. The owner is a gentleman and takes pride in his business as a motel keeper, Thanks I will return on a regular basis and will go out of my why to stay here, no surprises i like that.

I read in an earlier review that the owner was strange, well I am glad he is, because he runs a nice perfectly clean and respectful place and he rightfully expects thoughs staying at his pride and joy do the same. I was pleasantly surprized. When I take a bike trip from Toronto to Stowe my wife does not come with me and usually I don't like to stop at most small little hole in the wall motels on the way. I was on the road later in the day so it meant that I would most likely have to stop, Elizabethtown was at about the 7pm time I was tired and could not help but notice the small tidy motel, with the office light lit up in red which probly meant there was a vacancy. The hotel manager was a phone call away by picking up the self dialing phone, Man was I tired, what a pleaseant surprise the room and bathroom were immaculantly clean, the bed was the most comfortable beds I have slept in a long time, and the price is more than reasonable, I plan on stopping more often on my yearly motocylce trip route in the future, highly reccommend. This is a very clean, well kept inn that reminds me of those motels from our travels in the 50's and 60's. It's certainly not the Ritz but the price isn't ritzy either. There is an excellent restaurant calld the Deer's Head Inn just down the road, high quality food but you should make reservations. Overall this motel is a great value and a nice place for the road weary.

It is a great value. We go every year for a hiking trip. It is a small Adirondack town and we love it. It is our favorite place to stay.
